Be Still My Heart

so I leave it in fates worn trembling hands
let go my heart so still it stands
let go my desire buried deep
dry my eyes no more tears to weep
let go the questions with no answers
let go the disappointment that grows like cancer
close my eyes clear my head
let go the things left unsaid
know not mind the world I see
be not who I am yet who I want to be

What's This Life For?

just step back
take some time to think
searching for the missing link
didnt know before
and now I do
cant change the world
just make it through
cant change the world
the life I knew
the one in store
wheres it heading
Im not sure
I have searched
long and hard
a journey that
has left me scarred
broken beaten
bruised and battered
just to see
what should of mattered
what I know
what Ive found
just cant let life
drag you down
just cant ever
lose the fight
chase the dreams
escape the night
dont wish you may
dont wish you might
just see yourself
taking flight
only we
have what we need
only we
can set us free

Philosophy

They say whatever doesn't kill you
 makes you stronger
just how strong do you have to be
I look around in disappointment
I don't like the world I see
So many people have forgotton
just what life's supposed to mean
Sitting there frozen, restless
waiting for the end to set them free
Or are we just paralyzed
by all that we have seen
Lost in our own confusion
somewhere inbetween

A Warning

you think you know
you have no idea
before you realize
I disappear
all the sorrow
all the pain
swallowed down
comes back again
you need heed
the words I breathe
the world I've seen
sick obscene
my vision stained
we're all to blame
you laugh and you joke
it's the world that you choke
with every word that gets spoke
with every stick that you poke
buried humanity
consistent insanity
twisting thoughts
become twisted beliefs
in a viscous cycle
when will it cease

Knowledge

what do you do when you've reached the end of the road
do you just stand there frozen still as stone
or turn around and just walk real slow
I can't speak for you but here's what I know
the world won't change it changes us
life is life no matter just how rough
there's something inside that won't be touched
the harder we're crushed the harder we clutch
not just hope not just desire but just will to be
the person that's living inside of me
just let go and be who I am
and live in a world that understands
life is life the world won't change
with a little knowledge it just might be tamed

Compromised

It burns me deep inside
that look thats in your eyes
It comes at no surprise
devastating compromise
The lies that I've been told
the lies that I've been sold
The heart I had turns cold
the hand I had I fold

Dream Date

I saw her again last night, when I closed my eyes
Wandering in my mind at no surprise
Waiting for me once again
She comes to visit every now and then
We hold hands, laugh and whisper
This one time I even got to kiss her
I wrapped my arms around her, looked deep into her eyes
Our lips met beneath the bluest skies
Enveloped by warmth she held within
Butterflies danced beneath my skin
One brief moment, yet it passed like hours
Time does not exist in this world that's ours
A whole life lived in just one night
Happily ever after, and it feels so right
Never ending just slowly fading away
Like a beautiful summer afternoon that you wish could stay
No need for goodbyes, I know I'll see her again
The next time I dream, I'll see her then

Untitled

A world breathes beneath us
That we choose not to see
Flooded with darkness
Infested with insanity
The sun sets in a bleeding horizon
Choked and beaten by the full moon rising

No Title Yet

Don't tell me that's it's over
'cuz I still want to hold her
I don't wanna miss her smile
Don't tell me that's it's over
I meant everything I told her
can't she just stay awhile

If we have a chance baby let's take it
and prove that life is what you make it
Reach out and take what's ours...
I've seen it in your eyes
you don't have to hide
All I want is your smile...
There's things I wanna show you
tell you while I hold you
I just wanna set time aside
Wipe away all your tears
quiet all your fears
You make me feel so alive...
I'll give you sunny days
even through the rain
It feels good with you there by me
Wrap my arms around you
always kiss and hug you
Baby if you just believe

So,
Don't tell me that it's over
I just want to hold her
There's so much in her smile
I meant the thing's I told her

Baby just stay awhile...

Fear

eyes wide open
robbed of sleep again
demons knocking
wont let them in
chest feels tight
hard to breathe
paralyzed by fear
the nightmare leaves
soaked in sweat
yet shivering
spiders crawl
beneath my skin
my hearts racing
my mind's pacing
back and forth
the strain I'm facing
the life I'm gracing
the time I'm wasting
looking for the door
searching for the key
drowning all that is
deep inside of me
what to do
where to turn
inside it festers
stings and burns
seek to keep
my mind asleep
mask the tears
I know I'll weep
chase the rain
endulge the sun
I shall not yet
come undone
