Him

Another cold night
And he was here, right next to me
His face over my shoulder and hands wrapped across my belly.
Caressing me at times, teasing!
His lips alternating between bites & soft kisses
Leaving marks wherever possible.
Just when i was levitating in pleasure,
Something loomy stuck my mind.
It whispered hundred things.
Of all,
What hurt the most
Was how many people must have been in my place, before and after.
Not just the number
But also the fear that there's someone out there
Who matters to him
More than i could ever.

The picture

Day as fine
As the girl I spot.
How beautiful she looks, I thought.
What is so great? i ask.
Is it her skin?
Or the contour of her face?
The outfit?
Nah. Something deep, I realise.
Is it
Her intangible passion For reading, that's burning Brighter And brighter?
Or The glossy images of pages
Perched on her sparkly eyes,
Holding millions of stories
Etching all deets
In her young mind?
Birthing perceptions. Insights.
And changing opinions.?
Or how invested she was
To not acknowledge the world around?
May be that's what
Is so beautiful about beauty?
I feel it
but not see it or specify?
A picture is what it was Of self in the past.

All i need is an escape

Who knew you were an ammunition,
A camouflage with a malice!
I'm still numb from the revelation
No matter how much I try
I'm afraid that I might risk walking the path
that killed all my dreams I'd reinforced spellbound by your lies!
I'm locked in your cellar
For the crime of conviction
In the castle you built
And called our home!
There's a door on your side
I know l'd never dare to knock
The door wrapped in Bougainvillea
Hiding behind them
The thorns of your sweet excuses!
I know I must avert
And disappear into the fog,
Hoping you'd then realise what a loss feels like!
But, my limbs are paralysed by the venom of trust
That sluggishly ran through my blood
Tormenting me all these years !
Now,
All I need is an escape
Is that too much to ask for?

You

I know
You'd return every winter,
To remind me
Of all the frozen nights.
But,
With the commence of spring And the warmth of wind, I'd be unmoved
Whether you stay or not.

Forgive me

Forgive me
or penalise if you wish to.
Remain not, a stoic
and lemme take in every breath of guilt.
The guilt, so monstrous,
always conniving to destroy my peace
If only, that's the act of vengeance
you seek.

Breakup

I still remember the day
You promised you'd stay.
Thought, not even in my dreams
How swiftly you could slip away!
Fights were meant to happer
But wasn't love to abandon.
Had you known the consequence
Our future would be to our convenience.
Whom should I blame
For my efforts are in vain?
In the throes of love I was
So naive to fathom your game!
Look what you brought in
An inextricable chaos my life’s been
How could you deceive without a clue?
Mind, your comeuppance is overdue
I will thrive anyhow
You reap what you sow.
Certainly you will not pass
Cause Karma keeps records.

Ocean

Ocean speaks to me of the words
I'm afraid to confront
And then consoles me with her wit
Like no soul I see in front.
Calm on the outside
Carries a storm inside
Along with it lies,
A ravishing world of strange lives.
Never did they see the sun
As she held em captive
So no human could gauge her depth
Or dare to destroy it.
She knows we can never fathom
The complexity she bears
Just like our feelings
Bothersome at times.
So she chose to be calm
Cause who would nurture the clan
Ignorant to internal chaos
That last for infinite time.
This is my bond with her
A reflection of one
That I hold with myself
A graceful complication.

Him

I caught his gaze
Raking every inch of my body
Creating a mental trail
For his tongue to follow.
He has no clue
How much i adore his lusty eyes
When they meet mine,
But what follows
Is still raw and raunchy
Only in my imagination.

Short

Short meet
Yet such profound impact.
No amount of force I impose upon self
Seems enough to forget you.
At the end of the day
When I'm all alone,
One query still bothers me-
Is there still an “us"?

Cancer

I've known of a girl, young and brave
Not for long, yet it's etched clear an impression she left on.
Struck like a storm, came a cacodemon,
Strolling through her blood
Tormenting every cell it encountered.
Could never gauge the depth of her agony or extent of her cancer.
Therapy too left behind nasty scars
Her beauty taking a distinct cast
Something that gracefully she'd embraced
Behind her pretentious yet enchanting smile.
Whilst each spoke of unseen battles
Her tiny heart had to brawl,
Whimpered too, her beloved ones
As she lay there like a wilting flower,
Fatigued enough to live through the day and teary nights,
With crippled faith and lingering fear,
Certain to succumb, next day or other.
I fathom not, what's more painful?
To feel or to watch a beloved one writhe.
As I stand here,
With a heavy heart for those that surrendered
It matters not, who you are
A wife, a gran, a boy or a man.
A malady as filthy as this Is an exception to none.
With every beam, a shadow disappears
A day resumes, after darkest nights,
Every flame you endure,
Too shall pass if there's a cure.
Let us be wise enough to mind the clock
To ask for and also be a helping hand.
Invigorate those in need
And put them, the lost warriors gently into an endless sleep
