Kelly Jobes Poem
No one believes me, they say it’s in my head
But half of the time, I can not even get out of bed.
Then the day came, A new specialist
Let’s see if today I can make a fist.
They said they believe me, but let’s just wait and see
Let’s find out if they can help me become pain-free.
Medication, once again, will this ever end
I dream of living pain-free just like my best friend.
Pains in my legs, pains in my chest
I just wish my body could be the best.
Another flare-up of agony and torment
But what you see is someone who’s content.
Lots of pain, assistance dog training
I never thought they would tell me Belle was failing.
By my side, Belle stayed, ensuring she could help me again
Cuddles and kisses she gave me each day
But in bed I remained.
The day COVID hit, our spirits were wild
As we had just found out, we were expecting our first child.
As time went by, we remained overjoyed
As we found out, we were having a boy.
The pain remained, but I smiled.
I couldn’t contain the excitement for our first child.
28 weeks Pregnant came fast, the doctor sent me for a scan
I never knew it would be my last; that’s when the pain really began.
I’m sorry, Miss. Your son is deceased
Those are the worst words to say, the least.
Tears and pain flooded over me.
Why oh why, how could this be?
Hours passed, then it was time.
To deliver our boy, who was all mine.
Bottom first, he came into the world with hope inside us for a cry
My oh my, how our faces turned. Please tell us he did not die.

Kelly Jobes Poem
Roses may be red
And violets blue
But one thing for sure
Is my life is sad without you
You will never get to see me grow
As your time came and you had to go
So here is a promise to you my big brother
I promise to always protect our mother
I will comfort her when she’s feels sad
I hope that makes you feel glad
I will make him smile as he is our dad
And I will try my best not to be bad
But my brother remember one thing
You will always be missed
Until the next time
You can be kissed

Kelly Jobes Poem
Our precious little man
You will always be to me
So perfect, pure, and innocent
A part of heaven's family.
We dreamed of you and your life
And all that it would be
While we waited for you
To join our family.
We never got the chance to play
Or hear you breathe, just for one day
We long to hold you
Touch you now
To laugh, to rock, to see you wiggle
And also to hear you giggle.
I will always be your mummy
He will always be your dad.
You will always be our baby
The baby that we had.
Now you're gone . . . But yet you're here
We sense you everywhere
You're our sorrow and our joy
There's love in every tear.
Just know our love goes deep and strong
We'll forget you never
The baby we had but never had
And yet will have forever.
People say there is a reason
And that time will heal.
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel
For no one knows how many times
We have broken down and cried
We want to tell you something
So there is never any doubt
You are so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to be without.
Our son, you were born sleeping.
Perfect and beautiful
You are missed by those around you
And although we will never be swell
You have left your tiny footprints
Within the heart of Belle.
Although they cannot be here today
And you will never get the chance to play
You will be deeply missed by your cousins
As you are the missing piece of their puzzle.
We will be your voice.
You will live on in us.
So we have made the choice.
To honour your life
By living again
We love you,
We miss you,
We will see you again.
My son, you're one of heaven's angels now
A perfect little star
And when you shine,
The world can see
How beautiful you are.
May you fly with magic wings
On clouds so soft and white
May your heart be joyful
And your days bathed in light.
Now you have to leave us.
And fly high in the sky
To be by your grandad's side.
And though our hearts are broken
And your life was far too short
We thank you, sweetest angel
For the happiness you brought.

Kelly Jobes Poem
First pains
It’s all in your head
Be active they said
Remain positive instead
Overlooked by many
Medication, plenty
Your body aching
Assistance dog training
Life’s changing
Goals become smaller
Inside I am screaming
Another disorder

Kelly Jobes Poem
Anticipation as I take the test
Will I be pregnant again
Two lines appear
But what I feel
Isn't the best.
Dread and fear
Loom over me
How could this be
My face full of tears
I don't feel happy
I feel sad
And now I feel
So very bad.
Guilt rising up
This isn't fair
To the child
That is there.
How can I feel this way?
Will these feelings stay?
The first scan comes
It came really fast
But will this be my last?
My baby is healthy
But I feel the same
Will my feelings ever change?
As things progress I feel so strange
My baby is moving and dancing.
It's insane!
But my feelings remain the same.

Kelly Jobes Poem
You have shone bright like a star.
And buzzed like a bee to where you are.
Carry on your journey without me.
And keep on shining as bright as can be.
