White lies

Telling a white lie
Sure is easy, am I right?
But dig further in your mind
Why must you lie?

Is the truth not good enough for you?
When you were a kid
Did you say you wore a tutu
When really, you still slept with your teddy named moo moo

It's alright if the truth isn't cool
But think about the lasting affect
Don't make yourself look like a fool
Be kind and tell them

How to Love 101

I'll need a beginners guide to love

you can't shatter a mirror and expect it to reflect
so, how can you break my heart
and it expect it to feel
the same way about you
over and over?

you've run out of luck, this is a dead end,
and the graveyard is nowhere near here
aren't we so lucky to know eachother?

here we are today,
battling one another in the mud
trying to get all our words out
and strangle eachother at the same time

Food

Gimme a sundae
Where I don't have to worry about
Losing weight
Dreaming about someday
Ending this race
Oh shoot, wait
Don't take me for real
I haven't ate a full meal
In a while
But I'll keep smiling
my "skinny" smile

Heavy Hands

With the weight of the world
In your hands
You quickly learn and understand
Dependency is something to be ashamed of

When you hand that weight to someone else
You wanna take it back
You practically beg
So you don't see them in the same pain

With the weight back
You begin to crumble
And all 8 billion of the people
And all the land and sea animals
Begin to shake and fall

"How irresponsible! You could've killed us all" They screech
"But I've held on for so long!"
You try to reason

But no matter how long you succeeded
You almost depleted
Now, the shame overwhelms you
It takes more willpower than you own
To keep it contained in you!

Save Your Mother

To some Mother Earth is an entity
So whilst your enjoying the winter freeze
Or laying in the summer heat
Do you not feel her grief?

The grief many souls have carried
Whilst digging deep in her skin
For her many and few treasures buried
