White lies

Telling a white lie
Sure is easy, am I right?
But dig further in your mind
Why must you lie?

Is the truth not good enough for you?
When you were a kid
Did you say you wore a tutu
When really, you still slept with your teddy named moo moo

It's alright if the truth isn't cool
But think about the lasting affect
Don't make yourself look like a fool
Be kind and tell them

Well, congratulations on your poem being on the home page today. Way to go. Yes, little lies can lead to big lies which can really become problematic. Thanks for sharing. Sara K

There is not a single thing wrong with a white lie, is lies meant to deceive, sometimes a lie is meant to be kind and not hurt someone one, thus the term white lie. Is always the intent, and kindness is always kindness! :)

It's just a silly poem, I have no problem against white lies used like that!
