Ashley Malcolm Poem
Roses with thorns grow on my heart
As I waited for you
To tell me how you feel
Do you want me? Yes or No
Is it just a game
We talk for hours, nothing new
We laughed for hours, nothing new
We went out twice, nothing new
Do you want me? Yes or No
Is it just a game
I don't understand you anymore
All I want is you
But I'm just a second option to you,
until you're first doesn't want you
You told me I don't have
The level of freak you do
Yet, you still want me
You said there's no game
But I can't tell if it's true or not
I love you, I want you, you know that
But yet, you love to play games
In silence, you stand,
A presence that commands,
My heart beats for you alone,
Yet your eyes, they don't show.
You know my love, it's true,
But still, you don't speak it through,
A mix of desire and pain,
Leaves me wondering, in vain.
Wondering why
Wondering why
You broke me thrice
While always coming back
For what reason
For Comfort
To prove I'll always want you
Knowing my heart beats for you
Even after you broke it
I'm stuck in a deep hole
With my feelings of; confusion and desires wanting you the most
But you don't want me like that
Do you want me, or is it just a game?
A test of love, a flame?
I'm lost in the confusion,
Torn between love and illusion.
If you're waiting for me to say,
The words that might set you free,
Know that my heart belongs to you,
And my love, it will always be true.

Ashley Malcolm Poem
Now you go, In the back of my mind, Trying to remember The look in your eyes — It was calm and undefined. I search for answers I couldn’t find.
Thoughts of you fill my mind As I gaze at the stars. These bars have no end, They stretch higher than I can reach. With a feeling of guilt in my chest, knowing it's: Forbidden to see, Forbidden to talk to, Forbidden to love as I yearn for you — Day and night.
Desires of lust Fill my dreams, As time turns to dust. Years of crying and screaming. I thought I’d find something new, But I can’t leave the old. It sticks to me like Glue to a page. Afraid to leave ’cause of what might happen, Can’t bear the hurt.
Don’t know if it’s just lust, But I’m connected to you Like a river to the sea That never mixes. Clueless to let go, As I’m stuck in a pit — Can’t escape as I struggle, Fighting with old and new, Confused about what to choose. Secretly I choose the new, But it’s a forbidden fruit That can’t be taken.
I feel pulled to you, Drawn to you, A need to be with you — While hurting someone in the meantime.
It’s so wrong but feels so right. We connect — mind to heart, soul to body, as they intertwine. I choose to be with you… But would it be wrong?
