No love found

A lonely empath, off the romance path,
Yearning for connection, a bubbly bath.
Invisible to women's eyes, unaccommodated,
My soul cries out for love, unselected.

The boy tries to create love invitations,
All rejected, insecurities injected.
Low self-esteem, a persona formed,
Love, why am I unaccepted, unadorned?

Dear love, dear life, keep me protected,
In thy presence, when soulmates are selected.
May I be chosen, may my heart be seen,
And in love's warmth, may my soul be serene.

Are you an artist??

Oh poetry, you offered me a canvas.
You made it to have no bounds,
Unmeasurable, far beyond hectares.
As the deaf can hear, how my voice sounds.

Yet my buckets of paint are sealed.
If I paint how I feel,
Oh credibility, are you a victim I'll kill?
Displaying my lack of skill.

Kai, oh Kai, embrace your artistry.
Paint your own mystery.
Before time makes you history,

Fear not, fear not.
Where the heart belongs, you'll see victory.

Weary Soul

Yes ,yes I was a precious soul
Turned to a flower that's slowly decaying
My roots are dead and gone
Can only draw waters when I'm praying

The stars allign enough to keep me breathing
but never enough to keep me away from grieving
I'm a question mark in motion when it comes to
the act of living
Sometimes wishing to silence my cardiac rhythm

God's absence is like a faded sunray
The dying little light that saw me through dark day
Oh lord, sinner as I am in my life please stay

They ask who did I lose ,why am I grieving
I lost the only thing I had hope
Entangled to a downward facing slope
Of which I wish to climb
Just for the world to witness that I'm a dime
Yes I'm lonely, but undeserved attention is a crime

So I'll wait on God to renew my weary soul
Make the flower precious again
Return it to its original Image
Restore the hope I lost

Power drunk

I see drunk men
A lingering scent of alcohol from power
Power-drunk men
The type of inebriation
Where imbalance manifests as impulsiveness

Not materialistic enough to construct
But sufficient to set disruption in motion
A seed yielding acts of corruption
Influencing the youth
Boasting to elders

Men of power
Children of the soil
The rain does not linger above but descends to the earth
Water your roots
Nourish the source of your strength through humility

If men of power evolve
We arrive at an economic resolution
Like lilies in spring, kindness unfolds
We don't march to destroy
But to grow together

Confusion

Sacrifices on sacrifices,
From the times I spent kneeling—my knees scarred.
Yet celebration and I are miles apart.
It’s been ages since I danced for a win;
Feels like I’m trapped in a karmic cycle of sin.
I’m in search of direction,

Travelling a path without road signs,
Seeking guidance from minds already lost.
I stay trapped in a maze,
Never proud, yet I’m lost,
A joke to those who know the way.

To anyone who can hear me out there:
Throw me a compass, a map.
I’m not asking you to walk for me,
Just show me the door out of this trap.

Maybe I can hold a trophy again,
Claim an accolade
While my age still permits—before it’s too late.
I’ll find myself, pay for lost time,
The cost of being lost.

Blood ,Sweat and Tears

Blood, sweat and tears
All in the name of eliminating my fears
Blood, sweat and tears
Just to find myself inside a Mercedes, getting an ego boost when I shift gears
Blood, sweat and tears
Creating a steel Armour in the form of riches
Ensuring the arrows of poverty don't pierce

It will be blood, sweat and tears till when?
My pains have outweighed my gains
What a heavy burden for my patience
They say blessings come as heavy rains
But it's been a dry season
As if an evil deity reigns
Hard to succeed, as if becoming the next king is forbidden like we living in a Herod type reign
But it's blood, sweat and tears till the gold appears

Destiny says I cannot endure my pain in vain
I know grace so I'll endure
On the days I fall short
Appreciation of the blessings I can count will be the cure

ADAPTATION

It’s not sweet when I reminisce.
On the day I can afford to,
I’d like to place a candy store on Memory Lane.
Had to take my own two legs,
move them like a mermaid’s tail.
That was me adapting to the marine way,
’cause if I didn’t,
the water’s body would decompose my body—
and who wants to leave behind a teary mommy?

Still swallowed up by the marine,
suddenly there appeared a submarine.
I was pulled up, got breathing space—
less problems, more oxygen.

Talks with the Almighty,
reconnect with my origin.

If you can’t climb a tree, use a ladder.
If you can’t swim, build a boat.
Opportunity will arise along the way

Mi Amor

Receiving your heartfelt kisses,
The only moments in which my stubborn loneliness seizes.
For a while we were galaxies apart,
Missing your body, the best work of art.

Mi Amor, the flower I needed;
Through your sweet aroma, my trust issues defeated.
Cause you hold on to me as if I'm falling off a cliff, 24/7.
As you offer a helping hand, an angel of heaven.
They say love is blind, mi amor.
Your essence is the cure,
Opening my eyes to its truest expression.
Without utterance, your persona itself a love confession.

Mi Amor, it's my heart you won.
Hold on to you as I feel my trauma burn.
Chose my designated rose.
So loving is something I re-learn,
All because of mi amor.

Lately

Hustle guided by unseen forces,
Linking me with like minds,
Dollar signs fill my headspace,
Overthinking the next grind’s designs.

Patient while cents can’t buy slippers,
Gripping heavy loads with hands missing fingers,
On painful days, we’re out and ready,
Empire building, slow but steady,
Even when my chest feels heavy.

If the weight on my chest
Is a rock from a gold mine,
Tell Endurance I’ve passed the test,
Let the gold I’ve acquired attest.

I know endurance, but around Hawkins I’m just talkin’,
Till he gives the strategist a plan,
Pulling gold nuggets like magnets,
That’s my marketplace, dollar and rand by rand,
Hustler as I am, I built my empire grand

Pray for grace

Some dream of living in mansions,
But have never found peaceful rest in a shelter.
Some misuse their intellect,
Not blessed with the guidance of an elder.

Some say they are natural-born murderers,
Lost a mother while she gave birth.
They carry the guilt of being the cause;
Unfairness, a permanent trait of this earth.

Everyone prays for the light.
Some will forever carry a candlestick,
Some a torch, some a light bulb.
Others might die before carrying the light.

It's survival of the fittest in this human race.
How could you dare not pray for grace.
