I found a crack in the sky

I found a crack in the sky

At midnight, I looked up
And as usual
There was stars decorating
The dark blue sea above

But I caught it
I saw a thin line, just north of the moon
And as I concentrated,
I could see what was beyond

I saw the galaxy
The stars, the planets
And realized there were more than eight

And I swore I saw a human
Waving at me
From one of the unseen planets
Up above

I saw more than our solar system
I saw the universe
In its entirety

Its vastness was enough to crush me
Making me realize
How insignificant I really was

Blue, red, orange, and colors I couldn't identify
I spotted them in streaks across the cosmos

Then suddenly I remembered
I was still on earth
And glanced at the earth's sky

It was turning into dawn
With pink clouds introducing the sun

I tried to look back at the crack
But it had closed up

Rosegold Sunsets

Rose gold sunsets that
Paint an afterglow in the
Crimson colored sky

The thought of You

The thought of you
The thought of you is the salty sea breeze
The thought of you is a fallen flower floating on the ocean’s surface
The thought of you is the ocean, too vast to know everything
The thought of you is world changing, groundbreaking, and too good to be true

The sight of you is an emerald sparkling in the sun
The sight of you is an autumn leaf falling and spiraling to the ground
The sight of you is my universe forming
The sight of you is world changing, groundbreaking, and too good to be true

The presence of you is a sunflower budding
The presence of you is a clear sky on a warm summer day
The presence of you is the stars in the midnight blue sky
The presence of you is world changing, groundbreaking, and too good to be true.

The thought of you, the sight of you, the presence of you is more than words could be.

Chestnut eyes

Chestnut colored eyes
That pierce through my lies, and seem
Thousands of years old

Dreams

Why does it feel real
Leading me to believe that
I shouldn't wake up

I know I'm asleep
But I can't push myself to
End this fantasy

Floating through the air
Cobalt skies and unreal sights
No one here but me

I try to wake up
But as I do, I realize
It wasn't a dream

All the seasons for my love and I

Fall leaves fluttering
Orange, red, yellow, all just
For my love and I

Glistening crystal
Icicles and pine trees made
For my love and I

Sweet scented flowers
Dancing dandelions made
For my love and I

Golden sunshine rays
Pink sunsets at the beach made
For my love and I

All the seasons are made for you and I

Will you be mine?

Will you be mine?
Wading through life's waves with me?
Will you be next to me?
As I learn things no one thought to teach
Will you be encouraging me?
While I climb mountains that I can not reach

Be by me
As I love and forgive
Be mine
As I hold grudges and relive
Things of the past
Take my hand
And say we'll last.
Will you be mine?

shattered hearts

Shattered hearts can't be
Put back together, no glue
Will make it the same

Silver Light

Silver crescent light
Lighting up the darkest night
Stars glow alongside

I thought of you today

I thought of you today
And reprimanded myself
I love someone else
And you shouldn't be in my thoughts

But you're everywhere
You're in that blue butterfly I saw
Flying across the gray sky

You're that cloud shaped like a heart
Floating mindlessly into the sea up above

You're that daisy I picked
Growing through the cracks of the sidewalk

I went to that bench
In the park where we sat
Seemingly another lifetime
I can't get back

I could still feel your arm around me
I shouldn't feel it

And you love someone else
And it's not me
I wonder why we moved on so quickly

Or maybe it was just you
Finding another love
While I tried to stay in the past

I looked for the cloud again today
It was a cloudless day
And the sun seemed halfheartedly shining

I thought of you again
You don't think of me, do you?
