Terry Henderson Poem
God is calling
A leaf is falling,
falling,
falling.
calling.
calling,
God is calling,
Will up?
you be lifted
go you
down? Or will
While some may p r o c r a s t i n a t e.
Others will seal their fate!
Some will continue to hate,
A few will find that heavenly gate!
A gate so straight and narrow
Don’t you be late, say yes to the call?
God is calling! God is calling!

Terry Henderson Poem
Love and Peace
Beneath the horizon lies a lovely day,
waiting for sunrise to proudly display.
Reaching upward slowly, with rays of gold,
where no man trod, not even the bold.
Upward, upward nearing the crest.
Boastfully awakening it's shining vest.
A day is born, but not long to stay,
Love and Peace we need, so do your deed...Pray!

Terry Henderson Poem
When Will We Learn
Another day lingers,
trying hard not to die.
Another day lingers,
trying hard not to cry.
This man of talent, God given talent,
A shoemaker by heart, toils
unselfishly both by day and
night, trying hard not to die,
trying hard not to cry.
Assembly lines with very much speed,
Cast aside this man’s talent – no longer a need.
Oh sweet little shoemaker, oh gifted one,
a life once happy, full of fun.
His memories we will cherished, you see he’s gone.
May he rest in peace, his talent has flown.
One less blessing we learn to live with out,
When will we learn? When? Why don’t somebody shout!

Terry Henderson Poem
Everlasting Love
Be that it may, that it may be,
As pure and virgin, like white caps on the sea.
Let it be to me, as is to thee,
Lasting, everlasting, it doth not flee.
So be it said, said it be so!
Sweet smiles and laughter, high moral’s glow.
We bend, we sway, at times we may fall,
But never, no never we part, never at all!
Love’s here to stay, be that it may,
That it may be!

Terry Henderson Poem
Sunrise
Up from the deep, a day is dawning,
Slowly rising, a day is dawning.
Up sleepy head, a day is dawning,
Up from the dead, a day is dawning.
Rays so bright, an affection of light,
With much might, oh what a sight.
Oh such splendor, one can hardly contain,
Upward, upward, over the plane.
Such beauty, such beauty, who can explain,
A burst of color, over His domain!

Summer
Today we got a glimpse of summer,
old man winter, what a bummer.
Blue sky's, singing birds, oh so lovely,
bees buzzing, buds a budding, oh what glee.
Summer's calling, summer's calling, winter's waning.
Rays of glimmer, rays of hope, rays of singing.
Upward, upward little shoots, awakening faces,
reaching higher, ever higher smiling faces.
Summers calling, summers calling, show your splendor!

Terry Henderson Poem
Growing Old Together
Oh yes we are growing older together.
I would want it with none other!
Spring showers, now summer days, oh how swiftly,
Fall’s fleeting; winter’s sleeting, oh how quickly.
From dawn to dusk – week to month.
Year by year…time so dear!
Oh yes we are growing older together.
I would want it with none other!
Yes rose petals are fading, winter’s invading.
Ice winds are blowing, all life is ebbing.
Crowns are graying…yes life’s decaying.
I know you feel the threatening days
But my Dorella I am with you…
And hand in hand we will face the winter to!
Poem inspired by mountains and foothills in Glassy Mountain, SC 1990

Terry Henderson Poem
Take Time
What is life, what is my cause
if not to rest and take my pause.
To turn my eyes from weary days
To escape this race of blinded haze.
ERE long the day we toil and strain
At setting sun what have we gain.
Take time to smell the flowers scent
See the petals: red, yellow, and purple tints.
Oh gracious life that takes the pause
To stop, stare, and ponder its cause.
Great the hand that spun this sight
Stop. Take time...Take thy delight!

Terry Henderson Poem
Eternal Love
Let there be Love…Love…For you and I.
A Love so true till we both shall die.
A cherished gift for the both to share,
A challenge so rare we both declare.
My heart and soul she is to me,
With smiles and laughter I reap with glee.
Eternal Love for you and I,
Eternal Love till we both shall die!

Terry Henderson Poem
The Thief
Into His gates, what peace and rest,
into the world our life to test.
Into His courts we once did crave,
Praise and worship our hearts once gave.
There’s a thief on the loose, he’s after you,
His goal you see, to make you blue.
Your joy, your strength, he knows so well,
to steal, to kill, to make you fail.
Into God’s temple once again I go,
Sad faces, sad faces the thief did sow!
Oh what’s the world now to say?
All faces alike…what a sad day!
