Im as free as a bird, but i cant seem to fly

Im free as a bird,
But i cant seem to fly...
Taking off is tiring,
Yet i am still trying...
I am still deciding
If i should take off,
Or if i should stay,
Forever wanting
Forever needing,
Just a little bit more
Than what my soul aches for...

Memory

There are many things one would wish to remember
A smile, an accomplishment or even a lie we were once told,
One of the things i wish to remember the most....
Is how happy i was before,
My true inner voice,
The way i would grin and giggle,
Happy,
Smiling all the time,
Smiling till all i felt was happiness,
And a sense of peace in my heart...

Memory...is a beautiful thing,
Sometimes it may shatter us,
Sometimes it may bring joy to us....
But if there is one thing i know more than anything in this life,
Memory makes us.

And although,
Memory may not be kind,
And although,
Memory may be lost to time,
Memory is...beautiful....

IGNORANCE IS BLISS

why must i hear?
Take my ears.
For i don't wish to hear the voice of fears.
Why must i see?
Take my eyes.
For i don't wish to see the thoughts of thee.

Am i long forgotten now?
Do i not exist in your flurry of rage?
The begotten cries of tears.
And all those petty ways in which you'd ignore my beaten-
Senseless soul.

For i cry too,
You are not the only one,
You are not alone in this place
I wish i could call home.
Its lonesome here,
And yet ignorance is bliss.
