Invisible

I am the wind
Weightless, always in motion
Free flowing,
Reaching out gently
To everything
In touch
And yet, I
Am lonely
Becoming still
And solitary as
People walk through
Me, the wind
As I blow harder,
Wishing to be heard
And yet, no one
Hears the outcry
Within my soul
And as they wonder
Where I am
They look but,
I am no longer here
But,
Did they every really
Care anyway
Of my being?

I ponder these things
While people
Continue
To walk through me
Hearing, but not listening
To my free flowing
Words of gentle
Caresse to the soul
Of any who stop and
Listen
To my own heartbeat
Of undying existence
As I determinedly
Flow on, looking
For my own
Ocean of happiness...
