Gham-e-Ishq Mein Haara Hua Panchhi

Gham-e-Ishq Mein Haara Hua Panchhi
Main apnon ka maara hua panchhi
Raahay manzil ka pata aik shikari se pooch ke
Main aik naye pinjray mein phansaya hua panchhi

Meri hurmat ka imtihan hai, aur daanay hain kam
Main maalik ka sataya hua panchhi
Chaar din ki hai zindagi, teen guzar gaye pinjray mein
Main apni taqdeer ka rulaya hua panchhi

Chehchahane se main thaka nahi, lekin chup hoon
Zang alood salakhon mein chhupaya hua panchhi
Dhoop aur barish mein dekh leta hoon aksar
Main neend se bedaar karaya hua panchhi

Lagta hai umr poori ho gayi shayad
Main pinjray se bahar uraya hua panchhi
Thandi hawa aur burhapa mera
Main aik shaakh pe baitha murjhaya hua panchhi

Toofaan hai zyada, na ghar hai koi
Main doosray panchhiyon ka khaya hua panchhi
Ye bijli ki taar hai, oonchi mehfooz bhi
Main har maut mara maraya hua panchhi

The Candle and The Moth

Moth: I am frightened by the dark,
Death stares at me when I cannot spread my wings.
Candle: Why do you fear, my dear moth?
Look at my love, I burn myself just for a glimpse of you.
Moth: I spread my wings and take to flight,
I leave my home and hearth behind to soar.
Candle: I burn; to burn is my very purpose,
But these humans, why do they "burn" with envy for others? Do find out.
Moth: Do not send me to them,
For they have lost both conscience and compassion.
Candle: Alas, this light, this beauty of mine!
One day, this fair of life will surely come to an end.
Moth: You speak the truth, lovely candle,
Life is in a constant friendship with death.
It is quite possible that I, too, shall perish,
Making my home within the fire of love.
Candle: No! You must live forever,
Keep your distance from my flame.
Moth: If not love, then let it be death;
It is better than dying a little every day.
The sun is just about to rise,
The day is coming, and I am to lose you again.
Candle: I am beginning to die, so that you may live;
One of us must perish, this is the ultimate test.

Conclusion:
Upon hearing this, the moth embraced his death,
The candle flickered out, leaving behind nothing but a shadow
