G2G

I've been running low on sympathy, leaning on a new perspective
The stiffness in my neck from viewing the world sideways, studying the selection

Neglection of time, spreading through the false notion of stillness
The end is painted on the walls and we are destined to be the illness

War in laughter, throwing rocks and hiding hands with grins sowed onto faces
Killing each other for the prize when we don't know what the race is

Passing judgment and sending him to his death
The consciousness lost, because of his experience

Two sinners, two killers, waiting for their fate
We are so quick to question the love and accept the hate

Authenticity is lost in the sea of forgery, with the desperation to be great
We are so quick to sell ourselves to get a sliver of that taste

Neglection of time, so you live in the moment
Neglection of faith, so you cannot focus

Coming down from that high, you are left to reminisce
And for some odd reason, you start to miss

The knowledge of the Word that lives inside every human wanting to thrive
Do you not realize?

You can drown in your sins and say that you can swim
But your breath is cut short by your own consciousness

Your hunger for wealth is suddenly starved
When you tilt your head back and thank the stars

To the people in the world dying for a loan
Never forget that this is not your home

The riches, the egos, are killing this world
The odds are cut slim when you don't have a cure

It angers the sinners, does not make a difference
They hate that the Word is worth more than millions

Your world can be full, yet still feel so hollow

who am I to tell you what to follow?

Gates to Heaven

Blood of the Pharaohs tastes so sweet

Like the milk and honey created by Eve

The gaze of a swan, ultimate divinity

Feeling Godly, I must admit

The world is mine, I own this

For nothing is real, this life of ours

The men and the money, I claim the power

Blessed am I, Blessed are thee

Visions filled with divine intuity

Flowing through my veins, the moon and the stars

The souls I have stolen, I have taken to Mars

Galactic notion, you may not understand

For in this life only few feel the touch of the hand

By the seraphic truth, I have been set free

I do not fear death, for it fears me

I shall return as tides in the heat of the Summer

Under the moon, I shall be with my lover

I am ready to go when my time is done

Because I'll die knowing I have felt the light of the sun

Because I know I shall return,
my awakening has just begun

Father

I don't know myself
better than you know me

I can't control my heart
they way that you have shown me

I am full of fears
even though you are with me

I fall to my knees
I hope you don't forget me

Open arms with a closed heart,
you always see right through me

You've known me from the very start
the path that you chose for me

I know who you are
you live inside of me

Yet, I still seek shortcuts
I know you are not proud of me

Every time I look up
I feel you looking down on me

I am not worthy of your love
but I feel it all around me

Glory to the Word in the world full of sin
I hope that you forgive me

I am nothing if not for him
I hope that I forgive me

In my heart through thick and thin

He tells me that he knows me

She

The moon cries when it rains at night

Chest churning, a hurting heart

She weeps in silence, careful to not make a sound

The moon is afraid to cry out loud

She will awake the children who sleep in their mother's arms
She will awake the women, sleeping in the arms of someone else

Biting down,

Counting stars

Who knew the moon was afraid of the dark?

Untitled

A love I have never met
A foreign soul
Half of my being
A love I would die for

My heart, your heart
Scared to hear it at times
Because your heart is so small
That it makes mine cry

Alas a dead end
Denying the truth
A message well sent
A mountain I can not move

An ocean of tears,
A tree that won't grow
The clouds will not clear
for my flower in the snow

I'm scared to admit
You aren't mine anymore
As much as I need you
Yahweh needs you more

So paint the skies
A stranger I will never know
In your memory I lie
A love I would die for

Wine

Your words
That dance down my spine
In the crease of my neck
Your whisper
As cold as the glass piercing through my back

No,
Those are just your hands

Your hands
My eyes
Begging for your touch

Your fingers
As sharp as knives
Cutting through my skin

My love
In the palm of your hands

The grape vines sprouting from your lips
Wrap themselves around my neck

So sweet
So bitter

Like your empty promises
The wine trickling from your tongue
Spills onto my lap

Leaving a stain

The vine is not a vine
But a snake,
Swallowing everything I know
Poisoning everything I love

I try to escape
But I want to stay

You always knew how to leave a stain.

Yah-nee-see

He tells me

That his mother says my name
when she looks into your eyes

And that you've been losing sleep,
my face haunts you late at night

Each time he seeks my touch
your walls, they sympathize

For if you had the power,
you would change your name to mine

Consequences, inevitable
the moment you decide

To swallow your insecurities,
fall into that disguise

Integrity is lost
once you realize

The name is quite uncommon,
engrained into their minds

The feelings that I gave him,
still desperate to define

You reap as you sow,
the reason that you hide

Is that before the betrayal,
you were a friend of mine

Before he was yours,
attached to my side

A boy who would kill
for a second of my time

So despite the facade,
you would put up a shrine

With my face in the middle,
you cannot deny

You beg him to see you,
though he lies by your side

Praying to the skies
to consider your bribe

For some time in my flesh,
so he may comply

I bet all of your possessions
and mine intertwined

Grieving the triumph,
remaining supine

Desperate to find a way
your love will suffice

Only if one day,
You change your name to mine

Second Amendment

Pass him the rifle
Pass him the bullets
Pass him the bible
Pass him the Constitution
It’s for his survival

You wouldn’t understand, you are only a woman

Hand him the AK
Hand him your life
Hand him your fate
Hand him his rights
It’s for his ego

You wouldn’t understand, it’s for a man’s pride

He is a Christian, he was once a cadet
He is a Christian, this is his land
He is a Christian, a proudly stubborn vet
He is a Christian, he has a right to demand
It’s for his family

He doesn’t understand, Jesus never walked with a gun in his hand.

He

You are my sun
In the darkness of it all
You are my sun
In between the yells and the building of walls
You are my sun
Before I sleep, when I wake
You are my sun
On a cloudy, rainy day
You are my sun
When I speak words I do not meant to say
When I dare to leave and look away
When I tell you that I can not stay
When the spark is gone
You return at dawn because
                                         You are the sun

Home

Say grace
Always pray
He is listening

Put the work in
Stay a virgin
He is watching

Go to church
Learn to love this earth
He is coming

Admit your sins
Service is about to begin
He is forgiving

Feel the love
From above

                   He is here.
