Tonya Shore Poem
With every stroke of that imaginary brush you think I use to paint my world perfect,
You seem blind to all the important tears and rips that you caused my world to have in it.
No picture is ever truly perfect, how many times do you think the canvas has had to be wiped clean?
I know the canvas of my world has been many times due to your words of anger, your actions of mean.
A picture can be made to appear to have a dark side, just as it can appear to be full of light,
It's all how a person perceives the strokes of the artist, which is your God given right.
But what you don't see is the truth that has lead the artists to paint the world which you question,
The meaning behind my painting has never been to make a choice of who to love and who to abandon.
To assume that 'I have moved on without you' is the theme of my so called grand picture of a world,
Just tells me that you haven't even thought of the grand picture you yourself so claim to hold.
You claim you are the one who has held my hearts as they sit there and cry, trying to explain to them the why's,
But did you even think of telling them the truth of all the nasty, cruel things you have said, or of your spoken lies?
You are the reason behind most of the why's, I paint these strokes on the canvas the way I do,
You are the one who without thought has posted things about me which are only half true.
I am so tired of being made out to be the reason for all my hearts problems, as you pretend to be picture perfect,
But I am not the one who has tried pulling the wool over everyone's eye's, trying to convince them that your the victim.
You accuse me of befriending you just to use you, of doing things on purpose just to hurt you, of being lower than dirt.
But what you don't realize is the fact that I hold back on some of the strokes, just so you don't get hurt.
So, remember this, it is not a grand picture in which I paint, nor is it me turning my back,
I brush with strokes which you question, to give my hearts everything which they lack.

Tonya Shore Poem
Please watch over our Soldiers in foreign lands.
Keep safe our loved ones and all our friends.
Watch over our children, whose mommy's and daddy's went to war.
Please help them to understand what mommy and daddy are fighting for.
Bless all the families and friends of our Fallen Soldiers.
Help them find a sense of peace and some closure.
Bless the life of all the mothers and fathers.
Who have lost their sons and/or daughters.
Help guide the children so they will know,
That their mommy or daddy died as a true American Hero.
Hold tight in your hands, the heart of the Soldiers Wife.
Give her peace and understanding all throughout her life.
As for the Soldiers still over there fighting in the war,
Please GOD, keep them safe, we don't want to loose any more.

Tonya Shore Poem
He gets up in the morning and begins to pack,
Today he'll be gone with no idea of when he will be back.
I sit in bed and watch with tears running down my face,
Dreading the thought of the upcoming lonely days.
Yes, my husband is an American Soldier,
One of the proud with whom has been called on order.
He'll walk out this door with a sense of loyality and duty,
But, his love and heart will be left behind with me.
It maybe days, weeks, even months until we speak again,
Seems like an eternity to go without your best friend.
While gone, he will endure the unknown for his country,
He'll take on the unforseen so that we may remain free.
Yes, my best friend is an American Soldier,
One of the proud with whom has been called on order.
He'll walk out this door with a sense of loyality and duty,
But, his love and heart will be left behind with many.
Kneeling at night our daughter begins to pray,
Wishing daddy home each and every day.
Wiping away the silent tears which fall at night,
She smiles and knows God is keeping him alright.
Yes, my daughters daddy is an American Soldier,
One of the proud with whom has been called on order.
He'll walk out this door with a sense of loyality and duty,
But, his love and heart will be left behind with his baby.
The old man sit's up at night and watches the tv for any news,
Hoping his son isn't one of the many we may loose.
His wife holds onto her Bible with all her strength and faith,
Knowing that without a doubt her baby boy is safe.
Yes, they are the parents of an American Soldier,
One of the proud with whom has been called on order.
He'll walk out this door with a sense of loyality and duty,
But, his love and heart will be left behind with his family.
Looking out for my friend and fellow Soldier,
Roadside bombs are around every corner.
Sound of the enemies guns ringing in my ears,
Thoughts of home and loved ones calming my fears.
Yes, I am an American Soldier,
One of the proud with whom has been called on order.
I'll walk out this door with a sense of loyality and duty,
But, my love and heart will be left behind with my country.

Tonya Shore Poem
When was the last time you caught yourself reaching out into thin air?
Coming home with news to share... only to realize, no ones there.
Rolling over in bed craving the warmth of your lovers embrace.
Opening your eye's hoping to see that smile on his perfect face.
You truly felt your breath catch at the sound of the phone?
The last time you were in a room full of people and had that feeling of being alone.
Everyone telling you the same thing, "hey, you'll be alright."
You had gone to bed depressed, dreading another lonely night.
You had to look at your child and wipe away their tear.
Cause they haven't seen their daddy in almost a year.
The last time you felt you had to stand tall and strong.
When everything in your life seems to be going wrong.
The last holiday you had to spend without your spouse.
Cause for months, it's only been you and the kids at the house.
The last time you looked at his picture... breaking down and crying.
You wrapped yourself in a ball cause the pain is to much, you feel like your dieing.
The last time you cleaned house and found something you thought was lost of his.
Tightening your grip on it, holding it close to your chest, closing your eye's and making a
wish.
The last time you turned the t.v on and it was playing his favorite show.
Or cranked the radio up when you hear his favorite song and the radios on to low.
The last time you wore his old t-shirt around all day long.
Singing at the top of your lungs with that old country song.
Well, I can tell you exactly when the last time it was for me.
I've done all these today and it's only just now 5 minutes till three.

Tonya Shore Poem
Everyone pretends they know what I am going through.
No one understands how much I truly miss you.
Some times I wish they could actually see,
how my heart aches everyday your away from me.
Or the silent tears that fall on your pillow every night.
Because, your not here holding me tight.
All the letters, packages, and love I send your way.
All the times I have sat holding your picture and begin to pray.
Many people have tried to figure out just why,
There are times all I want is to be left alone to cry.
To close the door, turn off the lights, climb in bed and hide.
Until the day comes that again you will be by my side.

Tonya Shore Poem
Laying here in bed all alone,
I hear the ring of the telephone.
Do I answer it or is it better to ignore,
Great now, I hear a knock at the door.
Whoever it is hopefully will go away,
I am in no mood for them to stay.
What day is it, I don’t think I even know?
The bedside clock has somehow lost it’s glow.
My world came to an end last night,
When I received news my husband lost the fight.
He was an American Soldier fighting for our freedom,
I guess God had a much greater need for him.

Tonya Shore Poem
DEAR DADDY,
YOU KNOW DADDY, WE DONT UNDERSTAND MUCH ABOUT THE WAR,
BUT, WE DO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS YOUR ARE FIGHTING FOR.
AT NIGHT, WHEN MOMMY AND US, KNEEL DOWN TO PRAY,
WE ASK GOD TO WATCH OVER YOU EVERY DAY.
WE KNOW YOU DIDN'T WANT TO GO AND FIGHT,
BUT, THANKS TO YOU, WE KNOW WE'RE SAFE FOR ANOTHER NIGHT.
SOME OF OUR FRIENDS HAVE DADDIES OVER THERE TOO,
THEY MISS THEIR DADDIES AS MUCH AS WE MISS YOU.
WELL IT'S TIME FOR BED AND TO SAY OUR PRAYERS, SO MOMMA CAN TUCK US IN TIGHT.
WE'LL BE SURE TO ASK GOD TO SEND EXTRA ANGLES TO WATCH OVER YOU TONIGHT.
LOVE,
UR LITTLE GURLS

Tonya Shore Poem
If you look deep into the images of your world,
You'll see me there, hovering like a ghost would.
Staring back at you through the eye's of those images,
My reflection seen distorted in their perfect faces.
You silently think by turning the image over,
I would disappear from your world forever.
But, just like a ghost, I am truly never gone completely,
I don't expect you to allow into your world images of me.
For this, you would have to be able to forgive and move on,
And understand that the images of your world are not secrets of your own.
These images walk freely from within your world into mine,
Bringing with them images of you, which is totally fine.
I sit and look deeply into the images of my world,
And there you are, hovering like only a ghost could.
Staring back at me through the eye's of my images,
Your reflection apparent in all their smiling faces.
Yet, I still do not feel the need to turn the image's over,
I know that you will never disappear from my world forever.
Cause just like a ghost, you are truly never gone completely,
I allow into my world those images of you, freely.
I have forgiven, which has allowed me to be able to move on,
I know that the images of my world are not secrets of my own.
Two totally different worlds, so easily entwined,
By the images of your world and mine.

Tonya Shore Poem
Do you know what it is like to live the life,
Of an American Soldier's Wife?
Always having to stand strong,
Forever pretending nothing's wrong.
All the tears we shed at night,
Cause our love ain't there to hold us tight.
All the time's we sit in silence and pray,
That God will bring him home safely to stay.
Or when our hearts feel as heavy as stone's,
Cause we are apart and all alone.
And out of all the things in this world we miss,
The thing we miss most is his kiss.
We think of him with every breath,
We know without him, our life is death.
Or when he misses seeing the birth of his son or daughter,
Knowing his sorrow, you hold on to them a little tighter.
Watching your children grow and looking them in the eye,
Telling them daddy's going to be all right and hoping it's not a lie.
All the special events and holiday's he'll miss,
All the missed hugs and kisses from the kids.
All the tears you cry into his pillow,
Dreading another missed tomorrow.
And hearing everyone call him a Hero, your heart swells with pride,
You say, Thank You, and smile to hide the void you feel inside.
He doesn't choose to be away from his family and friends,
But, without our Soldiers this war would never end.
So, do you believe you could live the life,
Of the American Soldiers Wife?

Tonya Shore Poem
Dera GOD, it's me,
Please hear my plea.....
I'm tired of all these tears falling on his pillow.
The feeling of emptiness and the constant sorrow.
The day's, they seem to go by so slowly.
The nights, they make me more lonely.
I'd give anything, everything just to hold my baby.
To have him reach over and wrap his arms around me.
To feel him kiss my forehead good night.
To hear him whisper, "Your a beautiful sight."
I know your watching over him and keeping him safe.
But, I'd do anyhing to see the smile on his face.
To have his fingers playing with my hair.
To tell him about my day and all the things I want to share.
Lord, this man is my world, my friend, my husband.
I love you Baby ........ Amen
