The Sound of Silence Part Two

Hello Darkness, my old friend,
I'm afraid we have to start again,
The visions planted in my head,
Fake nutrition we've been fed,
An agenda thats just for one,
Evil's son,
Within the sound of silence,

In a web, I walked with masses,
Many held the toast of glasses,
A shot rang out with a miss,
Fist rose in a state of bliss,
Victory by defeat that was the cure,
Or just a lure,
That touched the sound of slience,

Hidden meanings consume the law,
Out of the deep, corpses crawl,
People led by a faint light,
Riots charged with no fight,
Like cows led to a greener pasture,
Fed by one master,
Lord of the sound of silence,

Still you do not know,
Silence like a cancer grows,
Words, i hope that might reach you,
Praying for Heaven's clue,
Surpassed by silent's wool,
Drug to the void of silence,

And the people bowed and prayed,
To the righteous gods they made,
Angels flying overhead,
Not a holy figurehead,
The prophetic book has said "The end is near",
With much to fear,
From the Sound of Silence.

Screwtape

Long forbidding fingers dig deep in,
Appearing black contrast on pale skin,
The puppeteer directs your gaze,
A brief view but the vision stays,
Ruinous renderings plague the brain,
His dark imprint now shall remain.

The Flying Dutchman

Hoisted high Black flags sail,
Camouflaged by a misty veil,
A bow braced with forward guns,
Upon a ship no-one outruns,
This sight was seen through a scope,
A view of horror crushing all hope,
Terror races through the ship,
For they are within Davy Jones grip,
Bustling panic to throw weight over the side,
Anything and everything to save their hide,
Dark swells of clouds surround the merchant,
Like a sour jar of vinegar the crew fermant,
Kneeling, some pray for some type of saving,
Any rescue from what that vile ship is craving,
Villainous auras fills the air,
Causing halt to all prayer,
Will these pirates spare some of the lives,
Or send an empty ship back to their wives,
With every second the air gets thicker,
From the aft of the ship comes a flicker,
A barrage of small slugs rip through wood,
Boots and blood left where the cap'n stood,
Trepidation spotlights the first mate,
Unable to move due to sealed fate,
Through a portal all Hell enters,
For the helm was just splinters,
Without a doubt no lives will be spared,
The story of a rescue to never be shared,
A war horn sounds ringing in every ear,
Port side a figurehead in mist begins to leer,
Skeletal bones with a sickle, appears to be the reaper,
Materializing behind him the black flagged creeper,
With woods as dark as the Captain's soul,
The deck stained red from the Dutchmen's toll,
No visible crew leaves the merchants struck,
But this was not their type of luck,
From starboard side a hatchet was thrown,
Landing in the boswain's cheekbone,
Like serpents, pirates sliver over the side,
Some crew just buckled while others cried,
Hands raised high and knees into deckboard,
Now a chest soiled red by plunging sword,
Before every death was a faint wretched smell,
The kind only found rotting in a cell,
Cause Davy's crew were sentenced to jail,
An endless opaque sea faring Hell.

Malnourishment

To be to be,
Is who God is,
To describe in detail His power,
Is malnourishment of what it truly is,
Figured it out you have,
Far from it,
For words from tongues cannot formulate,
Words developed for understanding all creation,
But words tainted by the human presence,
His power that resonates without being heard,
A power that shows without being seen,
Yet graces those that which don't comprehend.

Greed

It tarnishes the void we try to fill,
life on Earth gives need for it still,
harder we work the faster we fade,
calloused existence isn't something we evade,
given fuel by what we think we need,
desire, hunger, thirst; it's name is Greed,
sour taste with a resonance of mold,
pockets never fill with warmth only cold,
try and try again you''ll never get past this sin,
insane because it ends and you then ask "Where to begin?"

Astray in the Dark

Some shall never see the truth,
I've been this way since youth,
The mask I wear is layers upon layers of paint,
So many that facial features appear faint,
Unable to see due to this dark veil,
Just praying that my feet will not fail,
This prison created by my misguided will,
A deep maze walked by society's swill,
Knees and palms strike dead dry soil,
Lead me back to the 99 and from this toil,
Glory I've taken is now all yours, Lord,
My trough has been hit and I have been floored,
Help me stand to live with no more mask,
Please Lord to be with you is all I ask.

A plea

Whole world's gone to hell,
Here I sit in jail,
Cold floors touch my hands,
As tears flow out in strands,
God help me please,
I'm a product of the breeze,
A leaf gone with the flow,
Thinking this is where I should go,
I did not show Grace but stone,
These choices were my own,
Pray this isn't too late for me,
Please God hear my plea!

Forgiveness

Hung like a chandelier that needs cleaning,
we rely on it in times of darkness or to give meaning,
shall we dust it off to use in our own life,
but against our enemies still charge with a knife,
learn to forgive all is what Jesus said,
if not the turmoil in life will live in your head,
my chandelier in life is covered in dust,
a foxtail I reach upon a wobbly ladder called trust,
as dust falls my darkness turns brighter,
light hits trust to make it's stance much tighter,
no more darkness, no more loose ladder,
my life is as full as a drunkards bladder.

Society as few know it

Veracious vanity about victories over
veils shows vain values corrupted by
vicious volatile villains in hopes for
votive to vindicate,
Grossly gluttons gain grains over
gloomy groups of ghastly greiven gulls,
Foreign fighting by ferocious foes gets
fulfilled here by fat-headed fools
fulminating for their unknowing fatalities,
Deep dark derivatives of evil dance daily
drawing delusional dimwits to drown
devishly in damnation,
Multimedia manipulates millions
maliciously magnifying multitudes of
mass misguided many,
Local laws layover latitudes of laundered
logistics layering subliminal taxations
lowering lifestyles lived by the
Land of the Limited.

Hold Fast

"Hold fast, don't let the lines slip",
The ropes tighten around the mast of the ship,
A salty Captain grasps the wooden helm,
Waves rip on the horizon, his realm,
Quartermaster yells "Storm heading northwest by west",
White knuckled the captain shrugs as though a jest,
"Hold fast Boys! This'll be a rough ride",
The crew gazed upon the captain with pride,
From the Barents Sea to the Indian Ocean,
He never buckled and only showed a valient notion,
As the ship cuts through treacherous crests,
The crew doesn't buckle either, their courage pressed,
Creaks and moans as the ship stretches,
Sounds that'll turn any jollies into wretches,
"Heave around, heave around" the boatswain bellows,
Crack of the mast drops the crew to their elbows,
Like the tentacles of the Kraken ropes snag some crew,
Pulling them over into the deep blue,
Anchoring the ship, the mast creates a list,
Creaks turn into snaps as the keel twist,
"Cut the lines and hold fast" captain shouts,
Filled with fear, the boys show doubts,
A pause of fear causes something most servere,
Wont matter which way the captain'll steer,
The rising water above their knees causes such gloom,
Yet the crew, the boys, held fast to their doom.
