Daddy's Little Girl

Hello, allow me to introduce myself.
I wish my name was free,
free as in not physically and mentally restrained.
Sort of like how animals in the jungle can’t be tamed and how birds in the sky are never chained.
Hello, allow me to introduce myself.
I wish my name was unique.
My schedule is the same every week, I wish I had a better technique.
My heart is getting weak, a better life is what I seek.
Hello, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is turtle.
I carry myself with a shell on my back, but if I get knocked down I’ll crack.
Hello, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is doubt.
That’s all what life seems to be about. I’m trying to go down the right route
to get myself out of this drought
and find this perfect life everybody keeps talking about.
Hello, allow me to properly introduce myself.
My name is stress.
I go to school tired, then go to work
Or get fired.
My dad is sick and the clock continues to slowly tick.
I sit and think to where my thoughts overload
And my head feels like it’s going to explode.
Why did it have to be you to go down this bumpy road?
Dad thinks it’s necessary to give me everything down to diamonds and pearls
But it’s my turn to give it a whirl
