Blue Explosion

Holding the power of blue
The nobility thought noble
Peasant acceptance grew
Hypnotised and immobile

Violence in the Kush
For the truest blue ever seen
Not just any old push
But the ultramarine

An accident with blood
Gave us the Berliner Blau
Once where Prussia stood
And is Germany now

Taken on a blue plate
Not so appetising
Slows the heart rate
Without even realising

Introverted, honest and loyal
Calm and composed
Sometimes sensitive to spoil
And a stone heart exposed

Always Home-CM

Perhaps, once unlocked, one finds
Apps are rooms behind the blinds
Wallpapers comfort the eyes
Echo-chambers respin lies

Trash can always be retrieved
Flashed memories, not believed
More and more, you are alone
You're always home with your phone

Just Opinion

The price is the price.
Anything in addition
     is just opinion.

Why does the dog look
at me with suspicion today
as I grab the leash?

The tunnel got darker
the further suffered;
     it's just opinion.

Deep inside the warmth
of the surrounding earth,
death is a price too high to pay.

When the suffering ends,
when the light welcomes,
     is just opinion.

A Pile Of Tuesdays

This stone is a memory
    and memories are not truth.
I carry these stones in a box,
dripping nostalgia all over my shoes.*

The box fills faster than I can make room,
    old rocks settle down below.
Some get stuck between my toes,
as I limp toward another show.

It's already Tuesday again.
I've got a pile of Tuesdays stashed away,
wearing themselves down to sand,
rattling the box with every shake.

Running my finger along the edges
    for the last time—I'll know,
I'll divine them across the floor
    and see what remains.

Crank Callers

It's the new crank call
 A bridgeless troll
 A keyboard warrior
 In private euphoria

It's a disconnection
 On-screen reflection
 On enters press
 Eternal numbness

It's a devil's advocate
 A spineless strut
 A hit-and-run
 Of thoughtless fun

It's the new crank call
 The death of soul
 A bridgeless troll
 The blackest hole

If It's Too Loud

Each past, an echo not our own,
worshipped as the most and best.
It's a crowded cemetery, yet alone
we lie when put to the test.

Canyons carved by a vanished rain
will also crumble under their own weight.
Every bend records the strain
of water passing through this date.

Sifting the ashes of a dead fire
 where warmth no longer exists.
The remains no longer inspire
 as nostalgia grows and persists.

The Amateur

In a perpetual state of curiosity,
I am the lover—the amator,
consumed by the pursuit,
never arriving as the station's master.

Reshaped by the objects of affection—
endlessly revealing itself
with fresh eyes.

To be possessed by a god.

I am the midwife of ideas,
so come sit with me
and be courted every day.

Dumb Luck

What a fabulous contradiction I was
At times, disbelieving in wonder and awe
At others, feeling so far down because
I had no idea what I was living for

Gloomy skies could comfort or divide
Why did the good times fade away?
Without understanding what I was inside
Unable to avoid being a perfect cliche

So long ago, I can look back and laugh
Dumb luck has brought me to today
Even when I wasn't on the right path
I stopped myself from being led astray
