How can I be healed

How can I be healed when my rivers are still tender
My heart is stuck in the same sentence
Unheard points screamed at the child inside me
What am I
When the trees stick out and come out of hiding
My thoughts are disconnected from the lifeless rivers bound down on me
This penny for thoughts is meaningless
No worth inside its curves
It meant so much when I paid attention to the quietness
But the wind snatches the good thoughts from hallways of complete darkness
Do I sound crazy
Dreaming of high skies and cloud nines
I cannot see up here
It's too bright and the lines are hard to look at as wrong
How can I be healed when the tree has nothing more to wave in the wind for a look
It is invisible aging and broken edges
How am I ever healed

This Side Of My Skin

I blame it for the pain
As i try and understand its secrets
As it’s forms and folds wraps itself around me
Its supposed to protect the me from the world
But I cannot make sense of the curved markings painted across it
im supposed to take care of it
keep it smooth
 perfect for the picture
but i am ashamed
of what its become
loud
and hidden
this side
of my skin

Take Me Home

Take Me Home
to the cages of ur arms
trap our happiness inside me until my lungs
can no longer fill with my own hatred
Find my hands
And remind me
What a true home can feel like
Take me home

Real

I only feel real
When I'm downing glasses full of depression
And regret comes around every now and then
     banging on the door
      real turns its head
When rivers on my skin run too deep
      real becomes real
as my happiness only comes in waves
      crawling through my brain
    only crashing for a night
      leaving me with false hope
But I'd take the real back
      If I could feel hurt
  washing away with the glasses
      I only feel real
  when everything feels real

Throw Me Away

I don't deserve someone good
I need to clean myself up
But the person I was is hidden
where only I have to pat down to find
But don't look near the carpet, you'll find how bad it is underneath
im woven in ways even the people who got me still can't figure out
i move everywhere im not supposed to be
worn out and torn
from the things u no longer wanted
And it's turned me into something horrible
something that just needs to be thrown away and replaced
throw me away
And forget about the things u once loved before
Im not the same
im not the person anyone wants anymore

Mend Me Back Togehter

I don't think u can fix it
I'm ripped apart by the stains I spilled
I tried to clean it up
shoved and smeared
into a mess of something I wished we could've had

I want brand new
not left outside
to sink into the clump of regret
not left outside, letting the whole world know it's damaged
that we let it fall apart

Im sitting here waiting for someone to fix it
an object left to wait on the side of the world
a piece of myself exposed to everyone

Can u even attempt to see who I was before all I became?
What if you can't fix me?
Where will I end up if I let them take me away
If I continue to let them use me like they can't tell im not the same
until I no longer serve my purpose and am replaced

I don't think u can fix me
throw me back on my side of this place we used to love
and continue to pretend im fine

Look At Me

Look at me
even if its not with ur eyes
turn ur body to me
 even if its not genuine
make me think you care
caress my hair
even if its tightly wrapped around ur fingers
promise to keep holding me
and ill hide my feelings
like the marks i secretly tell u to leave
feel me
while i move through the regret
of telling u to come back
pay attention and
 ill say i love it
because its the only way u notice
why don't u just look
i just want to be seen

Leftover Air

I know I'm second-hand
Filtered out to feed ur addictions
It's bad for my health
But I can't help relapsing over the touches
They take the cigarettes to their lips
and blow the leftovers at me
And I inhale with everything I have
I'm out of breath
But when im with them
It feels like something to live on
I'm an addict for the 2nd hand
I can't avoid it as it blows through me
Around me
Hazing everything I used to be familiar with
It becomes a part of my bad habits
My new form of oxygen
Different from the one I was taught about
I'm second-hand
And I hate that my lungs are worse than u thought
It burns when I think about it
I shouldn't have gone
I promised I'd stay away
Find something to give me purpose again
But turns out it's all I'm good for
A product of what I was made of
2nd hand on what I grew up on

Tinted Laughs

when our skin touches
im left with diluted smells
like wearing your boyfriend's hoodie
only its not mine to have
These smells have become nauseating
reminding me im only useful for backseats
and undercover kisses
my body is craving closeness
but im only handed meaningless motions
and tinted glass laughs
blurring what they really want from me
Love is only a broken teenage dream
my skin isnt what it used to be
im left with marks
from those who never truly knew me
Its not mine
But I still choose to love like this
backseats have become a place where Im seen
in the same space just another girl
they're always going to replace
Its something to distract me
from the damaged parts of my body
they never choose to see
