Choices

Choose to wake up with appreciation and grace
It will teach you to enjoy life at a pace,

Choose to tell yourself you are loved everyday
It will give you confidence throughout your day,

Choose to have gratitude when the day begins
It will gift you with unexpected wins,

Choose to forgive yourself for unpleasant behavior
It will remind you, you still have GODS favor,

Choose to sit and converse about an heated disagreement
It will be a solution to resolve anger without resentment,

Choose to have compassion for yourself and another
It will teach you patience to help a few others,

Choose to apologize when you know/knew you are wrong
It will save time from a grudge that can be prolong,

Choose unity; together we are strong
It will dissolve separation that has lasted too long,

Choose to demonstrate and live in peace
It will help the war around the world cease.

Backfire

A upholder strong, bold, and courageous
Belittled and trivialized
Accepting truth; she's bon a fide
Speaking up for self became contagious.

White lily

Waiting for springtime
Elegance, love, sympathy
Any occasion.

No Tote Bag Needed

Eyes close head tilt back...
As I arrived out of thin air
the sand was warm to touch
the tide rush in from the shore
water cool as it covered my feet
rays from the sun heat my skin

I searched for a lounger under a tent
table had a tray of things to enjoy
shades, fruits, books, and glass of ice
cooler with bottled wine and water
warmth and peace was my intentions

I exhaled my tension about winter blues
chose to open water and tasted fresh fruit
poured wine on sphere shaped ice cubes
put on shades, selected a book, and relaxed.

Self-motivate

Hey self,
chin up, wipe tears
today is a new day
yesterday is gone; please don't dwell,
trust you.

Doreen, are you okay

Spike whimpered and barked
Door open, gate open too
Spike paced on the porch

Letter to an ex

everything started off smooth and fast
maybe why it wasn't meant to last
rejection was for my own protection
lovers to roommates best reflection
forged a facade of a family dynamic
resulted in sinking like the Titanic
convenience played a hefty role
help slow down separating goal
push came to shove due to regret
fights and arguing always upset
so called love dissolved overtime
missed the lessons time after time
settle with you for different reasons
love didn't last through 2 seasons
caused the divide with excessive thirst
lustful appetite I believe you CURSED
faked it until you didn't make it true
knowing there's no chance for redo
lied and falsified things about my life
still claiming to others I'm your wife
we were never married that was a lie
with that same breath you hope I die
something is wrong thinking I'll wait
saving myself with a great escape
noticing your stalking 8 years ago
detached but attached can't let go
use spell work to block my love life
creeping into my dreams with a knife
not the same person you remembered
that person is dead and dismembered
move on with your life it's the best
nothing to talk about I put that to rest
I will not allow the past to stop me
this time love is reciprocal and free

Beyond the Bark

A familiar path I walked frequently with glee
the feeling of a constant stare came over me
upon looking to find the place of the stare
nobody was in sight, no one was even there

Next day I decided to look a bit closer
maybe I'm dealing with a trickster
wondering who could it be watching
what I found out was very shocking

I gazed up and seen those precious eyes
no introduction was needed; no disguise
the feeling was mutual through the energy
not sure if I was the first to notice; misery

The energy was strong unsure what to think
anxiousness came over me; my heart did sink
couldn't comprehend the strong feelings I felt
walking away confused as heavy rain starts to pelt

Sitting clueless for the next couple of days
nervous and wondering what should I say
elated to see you again, putting away my phone
approaching the spot; you and the energy was gone

I would never forget the bold eyes with sadness
not knowing you were really feeling very helpless
you knew the day was near to be cut and removed
communicating those feelings had me very moved

I didn't understand that strong force through vibes
gave me a lesson about communicating silent cries
knowing you were alive with real emotions like me
never would've thought, "communication from a tree."

Birdy

Fly high,
beneath the clouds,
soaring with the calm winds,
perched on a limb tweeting a song,
day life.

Intentional Shift

Observe
Do not react
Make desires a focal
Give your attention to desires
Control.
