Caged Dreams

Caged Dreams

1.
You keep us in cages,
Thinking we are slaves,
But a day will come,
When we will escape.

2.
We look up from our cages,
Longing to be free—
As free as the birds
That soar through the skies.

3.
You think us foolish,
You think us weak,
But a day will come
When you will regret—
Regret every cruel word
That spills from your lips.

4.
You sold us like cattle,
Took us from our homes.
We look up from our cages,
Dreaming of freedom,
Yearning to live our lives.

5.
You clip our wings,
Lock us away,
So we cannot fly,
Cannot touch the sky.

6.
We live in despair,
We live in pain,
We live in fear,
Of what comes next.
Some of us even pray
For death to come.

7.
You took our children,
Our lands, our resources,
Leaving us with nowhere
To call home.

8.
You fear what we'll do,
Once freed from these cages.
We may be bound,
But our hope still burns—
Like a flame, untamed.

9.
We will reclaim our lands,
We will reclaim our freedom,
We will take back all
That was stolen from us.

10.
We are strong,
We are bold,
We will fight on—
Until the very end.

The Light in His Eyes

When I see him,
I feel weightless, floating—
His smile, his laughter,
A wonder so bright,
It brings endless joy to my heart.

I’m left breathless
Every time he’s near.
I love all of him—
Everything he offers,
And even if he gave nothing,
Still, I would love him the same.
He holds the happiness I seek.

He acts tough,
But I know,
Behind the walls he’s built,
Something great waits to be seen.

Every time he smiles,
His eyes glow—
They shine like stars,
And I am left speechless
By their light.

His voice alone weakens me.
Words fall short
To express how I feel—
He ignites the fire within.

It’s like I’m drowning
In emotions I can’t understand,
Yet somehow,
They make me feel
I could conquer the world.

I could write endlessly
Of what he means to me,
But the pages would fill,
Overflowing—
Still, it wouldn’t be enough
To capture it all.

Sorrows and Joy

I feel so caged,
Having to see the same walls,
Over and over again.

I think I’m losing my mind.
I wish to see the whole world,
But the dream
Fades away in the blink of an eye.

I am so lonely,
I think I’m losing my mind.
I feel life fades away,
Until there is nothing to feel again.

My smile turns to tears,
Joy turns to sorrow.
I am being sucked away,
By my lonely heart,
Like a black hole in my mind.

I put on a smile,
To please the world,
But I do no such thing
To please myself.

I wish I had never been born,
Counting the days when
Death will come.

There is a thread of hope
Which keeps me alive,
Wishing for more.
Is this my light?
I know no such thing,
But if it is,
I wish for more—

To turn my sorrows to joy,
My tears to smiles,
To see the world
Like nothing before.

To remove the cage
That is strangling my life,
To be free,
And soar the skies,
Like the birds
I see in the day and night.

I fear what the future holds,
But I also look forward to it.
You can call me mad—
I’ve been called that all my life.

I dream of what might be,
Or what could have been.
I want to preserve
This little light of mine
In a dark world,
And let it shine.

1.
They are all liars,
Talking about others
Behind their backs,
Thinking they are better.

2.
But everyone has
Their own faults.
They don’t see
The pain a person hides,
Just because they’re smiling.

3.
A day will come,
A day when they are judged
For all the things
They have done.

4.
All I feel for them is pity—
Pity for the words
They’ve spoken,
For the things
They’ve done.

5.
Everyone has
Their own flaws,
Yet they still judge
Others for theirs.
But I am no better
Than they are.

6.
I prefer words said to my face,
Rather than whispered behind my back.
They’re all hypocrites—
They smile at you,
Then stab you in the back.
They change colors
As quickly as a chameleon.
