Colors

red
the color of blood
their blood
orange
the color of the setting sun
marking another day of fighting
green
the color of grass
the grass they walked on
blue
 the color of the sky
who's always there
brown
the color of their guns
their only protection
grey
the color of the moods
of all the wounded soldiers
gold
the color of the trumpet
signaling freedom

meet me at midnight

meet me at midnight
when every thing is silent
meet me by the water
even though the waves are quiet
meet me by the shore when the moon is big and round
tell me in ernest
what, oh what, have you found?
meet me at midnight
when you need someone
lean your head on my shoulder
tell me who you're running from
meet me at midnight
for the last time
before you go away tell me you'll be fine
so i watch you walk away as the sun comes up
i watch my life fall apart
you were my only freind
every step is a break in my heart
knowing i will never meet you at midnight again

saving your spot

we used to sit there with a pile of stones
throwing them hard
seeing which ones would make it farther
and that bench was halve rust
but you still loved it
sitting on the air if you must

oh, the trees are whispering your name
wishing you to come back and be here again
and then i see us on that bench
laughing and talking like we were best freinds
you were all i got
but now i sit here alone
still saving your spot

sometimes i hear you in my head
telling me to push on ahead
telling me to slay the dragons infront of me
but what if when i tryed they all got set free?
i see a sunflower blooming on the ground
they were your favorite always searching for the sun around

oh, the trees are whispering your name
wishing you to come back and be here again
and then i see us on that bench
laughing and talking like we were best freinds
you were all i got
but now i sit here alone
 saving your spot

what will i do
if there's no you
i don't wan't to sit on the bench alone
without the one person i've ever really known

what will i do
if there's no you
i don't wan't to sit on the bench alone
without the one person i've ever really known

oh, the trees are whispering your name
wishing you to come back and be here again
and then i see us on that bench
laughing and talking like we were best freinds
you were all i got
but now i sit here alone
still saving your spot

Speak up

black keys
white keys
triads
scales
the piano makes many a noise
but so can you
speak up
or not
its up to you
the world awaits for the sound of your voice
to make it your own
to make your choice
so speak up i say
do you dare?
for if thy does
it will be well
and swell
so speak up

The poppies are singing

the poppies are singing
my ears are ringing
the bombs went off
the poppies are singing
the other teams winning
for now
the poppies are singing a ghostly tune
for the bodies laid to rest far to soon
the poppies are singing
there are too many flowers of red and black
in the field of defeat
that's a fact
the poppies are singing
singing
of there losses
of our victory
of the bosses
 that lead us to glory
the poppies sing our story

home gone away

you see a lone dandilion
swaying in the wind
a single seed dances
to the tune of the wind
birds cry
for every minute that passes by
you want less and less to say good bye
to this beautiful place you once called home
it has grown
from the trees
to the river down below
this place you know
this place YOU call home
has gone away
for now

Change

Change

Its sudden

You're having fun one moment then

Your world turns round

You're flipped upside-down

You don’t know what’s happening

It's like you don’t know anything

It's like you’re spinning in a tornado to oz

You need a pause

Spinning, spinning

You don’t know what to do

You all just want it to be through

You fight and struggle out of its bond

But it is quite fond

You take a pause

Take a breath

You look around calculating

That’s it!

You've got the answer

Do not fight change, embrace it at its most

Or else your old self will be nothing more than a ghost

Embrace that you change

It might be a little strange

Embrace it tightly

It will take you to magical places

Help you meet wonderful unknown faces

It will take you everywhere

It controls you

As you do it

Death

you crumple to the ground
pain blossoms in your chest
like a poppie blooming
soon it will be the signal of your remembrance
for the color of its petals stains your shirt
you lie there
your vision fading into a haze of grey
your family flashes before your eyes
the last thing you see is them running
the last thing you hear is the cannon go off
boom
your vision fades to darkeness
your dead

Fear

there is a tornado in my head
whipping around destroying everything in its path
i lie in bed
feeling its wrath
i just gotta keep going
for something has been eating away at me for quite some time now
i'm just standing there waiting for it to take its bow
the darkness consumes me
i long to be free
free of this pain,of the fear
that reappears
every time i see something that reminds me of it
its like that tightening of my chest
its anxiety at its best
and me at my worst
because fear has devoured me whole
i am nothing but a mere shadow
a wisp of life swept away by the wind of fate
i am broken now
to broken to fix
because what people don't know is that when fear devours you, you become it
so i am the new fear haunting, torturing
it is the worst fate of all
to do the thing you so once were afraid of
until someone else breaks
and you return to above

The weight of change

the river runs afar
splitting
I change houses
its crippling
I'm her here and another over there
its hard to bear
to bear the weight of change
for the reasons range
from different rules
to different hues
I bear the weight of change
is it so hard to be the same?
for the one thing I wish for is to
not bear the weight
the weight of change
so I will live with two personalities
sometimes I just want the world to freeze
but I don't get a pause
I have to be jolly like Santa Claus
so you will only know one half of me
I'm her but I'm also she
but who am I
this half of that
it gnaws me like a gnat
so. I will write you back as soon I can
when I find out who I am
