A Photograph

A Photograph

The ‘click!’ of a camera echoes in the room,
To hear that sound is a heavenly boon!
It may not seem, but hear it this way,
You just captured life in a moment’s play,
With the click of a button, a smile on the face,
You hold art in your hand at a second’s pace,
To revisit your memories is so nostalgic,
What else would you call this but magic?
Past joys bring a strange delight,
Taking reality to a different height,
A camera is a craft of wonder,
But a photograph is a memory to remember!

Bitter Reality

Bitter Reality

We say this modern world is a boon,
Filled with butterflies and heavenly blooms,
A Golden Era, A civilized place,
Where there are no disguised, equivocal faces,
But these are just sayings of the society,
A mask over the bitter reality,
This world is not what it seems,
It isn’t always filled with fruitful dreams,
It hosts a cavern of blood and war,
Terrible conspiracies spread wide and far,
The victories lead to another’s ruin,
You have no idea where the trouble is brewing,
The streets are like nightmares at night,
Murderers and rapists walk freely in the light,
Peace and justice hidden under greed, corruption,
All the science used for destruction,
We’re on the path to raze our Earth,
If we do not change, it’ll lead to more hurt,
When someone tries to break this unseen cruelty,
More monsters appear, supporting this bitter reality.

A Survivor

A Survivor

A single second can shatter your future,
Turn your life into a living nightmare,
You fear what’s next- life or death,
The clock is ticking with every breath,
Finding chances lower every stage,
Trying to break from this torturous cage,
Staring into the mirror and finding a skeleton,
A muddled head, a life forgotten,
Sobbing and crying, remembering golden times,
This pain has scarred you for a lifetime,
Have you already lost this depressing war?
You want to be free- it isn’t worth living anymore.
But then, you look at your loved ones,
Love empowers you to make the tables turn,
Hope fights the obstacles destiny brings,
Giving you courage to fight troubling things,
A thing silently splitting your heart into two,
Slowly, mercilessly destroying you,
Each day you fight with a stronger spirit,
Nothing is impossible when you are in it!
The will to joy showed that you are stronger,
And won to become a fearless survivor.

Ridiculous Restrictions

Ridiculous Restrictions

A beautiful mansion stood before me,
Carved charisma, a beauty to see,
My mind was imprisoned by its crimson designs,
The sea beside gave a paranormal vibe,
My phone chimed, I read the strange instructions,
What were these ridiculous restrictions?

“Go straight to Room no. 403,
Don’t peek into rooms, don’t stop to see,
Screams and whispers are just illusions,
The white figures are mere hallucinations,
Don't look in the mirror for more than 3 seconds,
I have warned you, you better listen,
Go straight to sleep before 11:59,
Don't ask questions, strictly follow the time,
If you stay in the room for more than two days,
I won’t answer why there is blood on your dress,
Once you close your eyes, don't open them,
Don’t look back to see who’s calling your name,
You may find a wet, decayed body or two,
They must’ve escaped from the graveyard blue,
If you feel touched, if you get chills,
Control yourself, curiosity kills,
Your tortured screams will never be heard,
So remember the instructions, ignore the blood,
If you somehow return, don’t search on the net,
The stories of murders are just fake sets,
If your life is precious, do not delay,
But other than that, enjoy your stay!”

Like I said, ridiculous restrictions,
I am brave! I don’t follow these impressions,
I stepped inside and someone called my name,
I shouldn’t have looked back, but I did the same,
Now I spot another woman entering the mansion,
It feels like an eternity, a life forgotten,
I glide behind her and call her sweetly,
Her scared screams surprise me deeply,
All I did was kill, like I was killed that time,
And painted another crimson design,
A beautiful mansion stood before me,
As I sent some ridiculous restrictions,
for another to see.

The Way to Sunrise

The Way To Sunrise

Would we admire the stars, if it weren’t for the night?
Without that darkness, would they have glistened bright?
What gives justice its importance, its desire?
Doesn’t the cold fade away to light the warm fire?
Would honesty exist without the cave of lies?
Could trust be built without a fake disguise?
Our world isn’t a perfect, little ball of happiness,
The dangers cause safety, desolation causes liveliness!
Every happy moment has a painful past,
Success hides our burdening failures last,
Bright lanterns are made for eerie paths,
Villains lead to heroes, wouldn’t you agree with that?
Gods are sculpted to vanquish monsters,
Those cold, dark towns are why light prosper,
The rejection of stupidity created the wise,
After all, every sunset is the way to sunrise!

A Bed's Duty

A Bed’s Duty

I begin your day and end it too,
Decorated by bedsheets and pillows new,
Massage your head till your eyes won't open,
It's harder to do then it's spoken,
A layer of comfort envelopes your mind,
Peace and solitude you will find,
Then one by one as the minutes go by,
My magic will work and dreams will fly!
Wiping worries as you rest,
My pillows defending like a fortress,
And then as I spot the first rays of sun,
I shake you from your sleepy oblivion,
I am the bed and I may be ordinary,
But the duty I do is more than mighty,
I end your day and begin it too,
Decorated by comfort and memories new.

The Wooden Shop

The Wooden Shop

Laughter mingled in the air,
And happiness danced with immense flair,
As they walked inside the vivid, wooden shop,
Hearts reinforced by caffeinated drink drops!
Colors painted across the small, glass spheres,
As they walked hand-in-hand, nearer and near,
Talking, and smiling, and teasing alike,
For in those moments, they forgot life’s strifes,
The beads weaved the golden seconds together,
As they tried on the jewels and ambers,
Each piece of jewelry engraved a new story,
Each bracelet gleamed with childhood memories,
Their bond stayed strong as the years turned gold,
Their earrings still swung, proud and bold,
And on one faithful day, it happened again,
The wooden shop was still vivid and plain,
The friends exchanged their life’s colors,
Weaving beads and joy all together,
Life had been tough, life had been hard,
But in that moment, they forgot their scars,
Laughing all their worries away,
The bracelets gleamed golden all day,
Happiness danced with immense flair,
Once again, laughter mingled in the air!

Betrayal

I stood on the gravel pathway,
feeling the wind gently kiss my face,
and the sweet scent of cherry blossoms,
mingling with the air.
My hands went up to my mouth,
covering my gasp,
as I saw him kneel down on one knee,
a velvet box in his hands.
A gentle smile adorned his face,
as he looked up,
gazing with a loving look that I knew all too well.
Tears ran down my face.
I couldn’t believe what was happening.
My breath stopped,
my heart beating rapidly.
Today, the person I had loved for seven years,
was finally proposing-
to another woman in front of me.

Not Insane

I'm not insane.

I swear to God, I just wanted to help her.

To reach out and save her.

I grabbed her, to urge her to move.

That's when I recognized the terror on her face.

She was scared, just like me. I didn't like that.

Don't be scared.

I'm just trying to help.

"P-please...don't."

I sighed as she stammered out those words when I held her hand gently.

I know.

I'm not going to hurt you. Stop begging.

I hate it.

A few moments later, I calmed her down, hugging her body as I lulled her to sleep.

She must be so exhausted from all that running she did.

Poor little thing.

As I pulled her close, to warm her cold body, I felt a bit uncomfortable, as I felt something sharp against my chest.

So, I pulled the knife out of her heart and wiped off the blood.

She'll be able to relax now.
