Patricia Ewing Poem
Just A Little Piece of Me.
Judge her not for who you think she is, rather spend the time to know her soul instead.
Use that time to unravel the mystery of this woman who stands before you.
See her, look into her eyes that will tell a story of truth.
Try not to change her for she is perfection just as she is.
A time will come for her when she feels comfortable to let you in.
Lead her not to believe that you’re not interested, yet give her something tangleable to work with instead.
If she wants and needs more you will know by her suggestiveness.
Tell her often how important she is, how much she means to you.
Try not to tame her, for she is not an animal to cage.
Let her run free as she is, for her heart won’t let her roam far from you.
Every ounce of her existence is life, is love, is joy, is she.
Push not for she will not react to you.
Instead gently guide and direct her to where you are.
Every step of the way be at her side, never in front and never behind.
Care for her and keep her safe, and above all never control her being.
Enjoy her laughter, favor her ways and be in the moment with her.
Open not a hole for her to fall in, yet envelope her in your arms.
For she is strong, yet she is fragile.
Match her love; feed her with your kindness.
Energy she will give, substance she will be, doesn’t take too much where you leave her weak. For after all, she is just a little piece of me.

Patricia Ewing Poem
Now I know
I went to look for you, where I thought that you might be. I did not find you there, only my lost soul.
I called out your name and you did not answer. I only heard the echo of my own voice, and then silence.
I reached out for you, and I did not feel you there. Only the cold empty place where you once were.
I know that you have moved on; you left me with only the broken and shattered pieces of my heart and dreams.
A voice comes to me and tells me to look off into the distance. That is where my future is now and will be there waiting for me when I am ready.
I look and see a slight ray of light, and a siloulute of the one who will bring me joy. The one who will Love me, appreciate me, respect me, and remove all traces of the past which was of you.

Patricia Ewing Poem
Worth More Than My Weight In Gold
Wondering around this space in time looking for that someone special just to call mine. Opening up my heart at every turn, giving freely instead of allowing the option to be earned. Reacting to every opportunity presented to me, instead of taking the time to understand just what it might be. The efforts that are exhausted after being hurt and practically destroyed are just as emotional as a child who has discarded a brand new toy. Having to always take a back seat to whatever else might be more important that I, just biding your time until someone else pass by.
Moving in a constant circle of a tail spin, never going forward only pushing up against the wind. Oceans of tears are shed night after night, soothing old wounds from another traumatic fight. Riches I might not have, wishes may never come true all I know is that I thought that you were the best of the chosen few. Each day I pray that the pain will end and that the breath I breathe will be filling and allow me to believe.
The day after day routine of picking myself up and dusting myself off has become a bit mundane, I know that if I don’t continue to do what I do then all my efforts will have been in vain. How can I move forward and forget about you, starting over again making a wiser decision is just what I have to do. Rationalized with myself that I had to move on, had to take up another space, for if I did not it would be like another slap to my face. Every day it gets just a little bit better, becomes a little bit easier to bear; I won’t be looking back now, I don’t need to look for someone else to be my pleaser.
You taught me more than you will ever know, and now my inner strength is about to blow. Ownership for my actions I will not have to be, going to make those life changing alterations going to just be me. Under no circumstances will I give another full control of my heart, not going to have someone else walk away when we said we would never part. Reaching my goal is now my focus, no more time for magic tricks or hocuses pocus.
A life lesson has been learned with this relationship of ours, I am no longer under your controlling powers. I fully am aware of just what I have to offer and to share, for when the right one comes along it will be their heart to bear. I understand more now about myself than I ever did before, cause I am stronger now, I don’t need sympathy no more. I have the confidence in myself to hold my head up high, no more steps backwards nor just getting by. For I am able to stand tall and to be bold, I am blessed to be, Worth MoreThan My Weight In Gold

Patricia Ewing Poem
Perfection
Pressure her not to change, just so that she fills all of your dreams and all of your desires.
Each and every part of her is all that she will ever be, just as she is no more, no less.
Respect her always, never treat her as if she does not exist, for she is a Woman, she is real.
For she will be true to the one who cares for her, depends on her and above all needs her.
Every goal that she has set has you as part of that goal; be her inspiration, assist her so that you both achieve the goal.
Caress her when she is tired and weary, soothe her soul in her hour of agony, let her know that you are there as her support.
Tell her how important she is to you, show her how much she means to you; just don’t place her on a pedestal for her to fall from.
In a time of disagreement, don’t push her to see things your way, yet listen to her and reason with her instead.
Open up to her and find her willing to know every little bit of your existence, she will accept you just as you are.
Never draw any conclusion about me, ask me anything you want to know, and trust what I tell you to be the truth.
