Smile bright as you take her place at the altar
With your own eyes you watched how bad she felt & how he did treat her
His eyes stayed up on yours as she watched his
She begged for him to listen and not hurt her like this
The first time you saw her she was young, vibrant, brand new
She now looks frail, broken carrying all the bags he will now force on you
As you walk away as one the damage will have already been done
He will stray from you as he begins his search for the next one
As you become one you must take possession
It was you who did not learn from her lesson
She fears for your sake
As she knows you will make this mistake

He walked away from her quick and full of pride
In search of the young girl he had to hide
Dyeing gray hairs to cover his age
She became silent as she watched his change
When he saw the young girl their smiles grew wide
She had to bury how much it hurt her deep inside
Old enough to be the young girl’s grandfather
She had always yearned to be the mother of a daughter
His love for her he rejected and quickly tossed aside
As the life she once knew slowly died
His words burned like fire as he passed the blame
Left alone she would now carry the burden of his shame
With tearful eyes he told of how much he had tried
She only wanted to hold him as she violently cried
As he told her she never was or would be his wife
She knew the young girl, her dear friend, had taken her life
In the church he & she used to sit together on a pew
The young girl took all they had, giving the members a perfect view

When love begins to sour
It begins the countdown to the final hour
Tried and true
You are now broken and blue
Desperate and trying
You believe you are dying
Eyes full of tears
It may take you many years
There is no bargaining
You will never be back to together again
You are with child
A great reason for you to smile
Dreams of the past
Simply dreams, never meant to last
You have fallen on your as(s)
Believe me, this moment too shall pass
Now you have given birth
A brand new life, now added to this earth.
You & your child go to the park
As you watch him play, it becomes dark
Your son has never met his father
You now know real love, because now, you are a mother

To be a God we will trust

At the end of this prayer session
I have learned another great lesson
Some lessons are easy
They tend to please me
Others are tricky
I’m too proud for them to teach me
I never read the Bible as a child
I grew into a woman who was way too wild
Witnessing miracles with wonder
So many questions I have now to ponder
Where did I go when I chose to wander
Nothing could wake me not even thunder
North, South, East & West
All the places the devil liked best
If a child reads the word does he learn it
Will he keep it
If the Father knows the word to preach it
The son becomes the man who will teach it
If a mother is deaf can she listen
How can she learn being so different
A mother who can’t hear listens to the son
The son is blessed by the Holy One
Why do people raise their hands to preach?
Does it improve the lesson they have to teach?
While an infant’s outstretched arms ask for help from anyone near it
A sinner knows salvation is only given by the Father, through his Son & The Holy Spirit

Dance in her fire
with your wicked desire
For the red moon
will be coming soon
In the approaching dawn
Your looks will be gone
You traded forever
for seconds of selfish pleasure
You chose the new wife
who will take your life
Dreams of becoming whole
have just taken your little soul
Fueled by vanity
you ran to her insanity
You were mistaken
Now you are forsaken
Everyone thought you were better
but you were never that clever
When you believe you belong
Her beautiful dance will move on
You really thought you were special
As you became one with the devil
