Apricot tree

In my garden, there’s an apricot
tree with pink fragrant blossoms that
fall from the branches one by
one to the ground. From a
tree, then tiny green
leaves sprouting out.
The fruit it
makes and
grows.
On
the full
apricot
tree, the young fruit
cover the branches
with sweet, juicy orange
apricots. They are very
delicious; even the blue jays
and crows eat the fruit right off the tree.

From the Catacomb

Oh no, Tokoloshe is coming for me.
I don’t want to die.
Oh, my God, I better flee.

I’ll hide behind the Suonoki tree.
The vicious predator won’t find me with his evil eye.
Oh no, Tokoloshe is coming for me.

There is no one to rescue me; I can see.
Inside the underground catacomb will terrify.
Oh, my God, I better flee.

Through the skeleton headwalls of his enemy,
Tokoloshe will devour me, but why?
Oh no, Tokoloshe is coming for me.

The hellion has come to collect his fee.
On that, I can rely.
Oh, my God, I better flee.

Oh dear, Tokoloshe, don’t kill me, I plea.
I want to live, I cry.
Oh no, Tokoloshe is coming for me.
Oh, my God, I better flee.

My Escape Route

I am on an Isolated Airline flight, 747
sitting in first class
with my carry-on bag
Looking out the window
Viewing the horizon
Seeing patches of clouds
In the blue sky
I am on my way to a town called Insanity
To fill my brain with peaceful thoughts
So I won’t go insane
Police can’t haul me to the Garden pavilion

Too bad I’m not at ease
Insanity wraps me in its clutch
Dark clouds of stress overwhelm
Negative energy infects my being
A man with a badge approaches with a word
The Marshal grabbed and positioned me on the floor
Cold rustic steel cuffs clasp around my wrists
My mind is intertwined and lost
everything is unreasonable
To the garden pavilion, I go
A woman in blue drags me to an isolated room
I’m free at last but still, a white lockable Jacket holds me

I am so sedated all I see are clouds above me
 hearing voices inside my head
Feeling bugs crawling inside me
Seeing cows up in the blue sky
jumping over green orange yellow thunderbolt clouds
I don’t know where I am
I am so delusional
Somebody is watching me
Oh please anyone help me!!
I think I’m going schizo
I need to ingest a bottle of tranquilizers
So I can leave this world

Migrating Monarchs

Monarch Butterflies start off as a
cocoon, then they come out into
 beautiful butterflies. The
Lovely monarchs started
 migrating, then one
nice bright day, they
disappeared
Now they're
gone.
On
 cold
Sunny day,
the beautiful
Monarch Butterflies
Came back from migrating,
oh, what a beautiful sight
To see clusters of monarch
butterflies hanging like silk from trees.

Under Pressure

Shoulders heavy and strain.
Thoughts of being proper in my brain.
Keep holding them up as they say my name.
This world cannot be tamed.

The weight is heavy and unbearable.
Weakening my tested status.
Making me become another Atlas
Painful suffering without a cure.

How much longer can I endure?
Feeling so insecure.
My life is obscure.
Am I doomed to hold fast?

For I fear that I will not last.
For if I fail, I’ll drown my sorrows.
To relieve the stress, as follows.
By grabbing a bottle of hollows.
For my ever-unquenchable swallows.
Tricking my mind with thoughts of tomorrows.

I must not let go and for some, depend on me like the Apollos.
For I require more strength and inspiration to borrow.

The Burial of My Uncle

The Angelic choir of Journey Fight welcomed our Uncle Bo. The sun was warm, the atmosphere was brisk, and the wind brought chills down my spine. An aroma of sage filled the air as my mother and I followed a trail. The sea otters chattered amongst themselves in the bay.

On our way to the Sea Lion Point trail to spread Bo’s ashes. I sat on a substantial rock and watched my mother spread my uncle’s ashes at his favorite place at Point Lobos as the wind whispered, carrying Bo across the vast blue expanse where he wanted to be. We said our goodbyes, and raindrops began to fall from our eyes. Bo’s spirit will always be here forever, at our special place. Point Lobos is where I go to visit my Uncle Bo.
My Uncle will eternally be in our hearts, and never, apart, there will always be a void in our lives.
