His Boo

I’m a "soldiers" girl,
Not the "soldier" you probably think
My "soldier" is a street soldier so to speak
This life does not allow us to be weak

A soldier of his kind takes a strong soul and mind
A color and a group of guys is what completes this bind
Whether he is fighting for everyone or just his own life
Its still a battle….a war with pain and strife

In the streets only certain deeds will earn your stripes
But everyone only hears the good parts, all the hype
To look at him, you see someone mean and uncaring
To know him, you know every part of his life is daring

He can never just relax, have a good time and unwind
His “soldier life” never stops with all things happening unkind
You hear about the parties and the unbreakable bonds of their brothers
But there is only room for them, no family and no others

He can never truly “get out” and leave that life behind
It takes a strong girl to be with him, a special kind
We deal with “the life” and the things that come with them
Every thing they go through, we also go through with them

Everyone judges my soldier for his wrong doings and life style
Maybe he had no choice to be like this all the while
Not born with a “silver spoon” in his mouth or a loving family
Maybe just maybe……a soldier he was always meant to be

I know that side of him no one else cares to or does
The love he shows me….couldn’t come from anywhere but above
To pass up a love as pure, intense and kind as his Im unable to do
So yes, I'm a soldiers girl......or as you would call it "his boo"

This Love

This love between us between our twin souls....
Its the feeling of euphoria when it is at its highest....
Its sucidial thoughts running through our hearts at its lowest....

Without You

This pain I feel inside
I doubt it will ever subside
It feels as though I’m dying
But my smile is forever lying

How do I face today without you
I feel like my soul has been ripped in two
Starting and ending my day without you
Is something I can’t begin to do

Almost half my life I have been by your side
You are my twin soul, the one from which I cannot hide
Our marriage has been one huge emotional ride
All these memories coming at me all at once like a rip tide

Our journey has came to an end at last
14 years has flown by way to fast
I gave it the best shot I had
And yet still, it has ended really bad

So now its time to pick up these pieces I call life
I’m going to try to put behind me all this anger and strife
I have to start all over again without you
And the first step is to end this first day without you…..

Day After Day

She looks down in the hole, freshly dug in the cold January ground
Maybe she should jump or maybe just let herself fall?
She screams over and over again but no one, even god, hears the calls
She asks over and over why take him from her….a new hurt never felt is now found

She’s in agony, her heart bound with a pain she never felt before today
All she can do is close her eyes and allow the agony to take hold and never fade away
His face, his scent, his touch seems more than a million miles away
The pain that brings her to her knees turns to hopelessness in a haste

She doesn't want them to know, to see her for what she’s become
A little girl, although grown, with no sense of where to go or whom to hold on to
As thoughts begin to race of him, she cant help it as a bitter smile shows on her face
Oh how mad he would be if he saw how she was at this moment, what he would do!

As dirt is getting tossed into his grave, her sunshine fades and will forever stay away
His last heartbeat was also hers….she never thought she would ever see this day
How dare god take him away from her, didn’t he know, didn’t he see?
She cant face a tomorrow without him, there was just no way this could be.

He gave her strength, held her up when she couldn’t stand alone
She remembered begging god to take her with him, a life without him she’s never known.
From a little girl with pigtails to a woman with a family of her own
There just has been no other way, no way to go without him day after day….
