Without You

This pain I feel inside
I doubt it will ever subside
It feels as though I’m dying
But my smile is forever lying

How do I face today without you
I feel like my soul has been ripped in two
Starting and ending my day without you
Is something I can’t begin to do

Almost half my life I have been by your side
You are my twin soul, the one from which I cannot hide
Our marriage has been one huge emotional ride
All these memories coming at me all at once like a rip tide

Our journey has came to an end at last
14 years has flown by way to fast
I gave it the best shot I had
And yet still, it has ended really bad

So now its time to pick up these pieces I call life
I’m going to try to put behind me all this anger and strife
I have to start all over again without you
And the first step is to end this first day without you…..

How tragically sad but your wings will yet again lift through the coming days for God's Angel's are meant to fly. Your friend, Lightwalker

It takes strength to pick up those pieces and the pain you describe has been felt by many. Perhaps in time you will be able to move forward with hope, but it won't be easy so I'll be sending positive thoughts your way. Keep writing; it's a great way to vent and may help in your recovery. Best Wishes, Carolyn
