I Wish I Could

I wish I could touch the sky,
So high and high and high.
I wish I could capture the moon,
Taut and firm in my room.

I wish I could sleep on a cloud,
And sing loud and loud and loud.
I wish I could take a star,
For a joyous ride in my car.

I wish I could flow like a lake,
Forever and ever without a break.
I wish I could merrily fly,
Like a monsoon dragonfly.

I wish I could stand firm and still,
On the waters flowing through the hill.
I wish I could deftly drag,
An ocean into my bag.

I wish I could crawl like a snake,
And roll onto a small stake.
I wish I could stand on a leaf,
And make a sigh of relief.

I wish I could walk in the air,
Tip-toeing with extreme care.
I wish I could pour like rain,
To quench the Earth's thirst again and again.

I wish I could become a fairy,
And turn a desert into a prairie.
I wish I could live in such a place,
Forever; to rejoice and embrace.

When artists cannot, their art does!

When words can't express, Actions do.
When Actions can't be expressed, Emotions do.
When emotions can't be expressed, the Heart does.
Similarly, In the world of artists,
When speaking can't express, their writing does.
When feelings can't be expressed, their drawing does.
When an artist can't express, their art does!

Journey of a Dandelion

On a silent and mellow snowy evening,
When stillness embraced the world,
The sky appeared ethereal and endearing,
When Winter’s last flakes of snow swirled.

The last piece of ember remained red,
Yet warm and cozy around the hearth,
Reminding me of the spring days ahead,
That brings fragrance and color to the earth.

Looking outside the fancy window-pane,
Where the ground faded under a snowy quilt,
There stood a fluffy single achene,
Surviving the Winter’s last snow without any wilt.

Swaying with the breeze and dancing a little,
The achene still held tight to the puff,
Singing a melody while unveiling its giggle,
Narrating its journey amidst the tough.

Waiting for frosty winter to fade away soon,
It longed for a warm and bright spring day,
With renewed enthusiasm coming in tune,
Hoping for a new journey of life on its way.

When the achene, blown by the breeze,
Envisions seeing the hills and greens,
Amidst the bright flowers and trees,
Etching an elegant image in its life’s dreams.

Yearning to be nestled in a lively milieu,
After its tenacious and delightful flight,
It dreams to bloom into a rosette anew,
Enriched by the soft and radiant light.

The rosette of leaves would spring up a bud,
That hides luminous yellow petals inside,
When the sun shines brighter upon the mud,
The blossom unfurls its petals with pride.

The vibrant yellow blossom sparking some delight,
Swinging along with the movement of the sun,
More cheerful and lively moments in the light,
Opening and closing, while enjoying the fun.

On a pleasant and sunny spring morning,
The blossom yearns to open again,
This time with a soft hairy bunch dawning,
Reborn as a fully fresh cluster of achene.

The new white dandelion ready to be blown,
Desires to find a new place once more,
For all the might and strength, it has shown,
To continue its journey to another shore.

Now the sky, more blue and clear,
Marking the end of frosty winter,
The achene cherishes its dreams all dear,
Waiting to be blown for a new adventure.

The Night Before A New Beginning

Waiting for the clock to strike twelve,
I idly threw myself on my cozy bed.
Sniffing the pleasantly sweet smell,
From my window, all spread.

Listening to my neighbors' happy talks,
A smile pops up on my face.
Leaving me engaged in a pool of thoughts,
And making my heart rapidly race.

With curiosity building up within me,
About the upcoming New Year.
I sneakily headed to my window to see,
My neighbors were ready with the cake to cheer.

Balloons, candles, and Cake,
Decorated elegantly on their porch.
Staying all night awake,
Impatiently looking at the watch.

With only two more minutes to go,
We patiently waited for the right time.
Time went too slow,
And it felt like an unpunishable crime.

When the minute hand and hour hand met,
And all of us celebrated with joy.
Like the clock being reset,
To the beginning again; we cheer up and enjoy.

Fireworks spread all over the sky,
Sparkling brightly like Fireflies.
Bringing new hopes and lifting our spirits high,
Thus becoming a feast for the eyes.

Celebrations and events worldwide,
Bidding farewell to the previous year.
People welcome the new year with pride,
Throwing aside their worries and fear.

I came back to my bed again,
And snuggled into my duvet.
Memories of this night remain,
Indelible to the people on this planet.

SOMETIMES

Sometimes, You feel disenchanted because you just want to take a break from the insipid course of life.
Sometimes, You are fed up to the extent that you may fall apart like a house of cards because you lack versatility.
Sometimes, You detest that you are toiling so much to put up with your tentative phase of life.
Sometimes, You feel that your mind is not propulsive enough to push you forward through the adventurous path of your life.
Sometimes, You find that everything around you is compact.
Sometimes, You are too devastated to start over again and face whatever may come to you.
But then... Don't forget that,
There were times, You were incredibly invincible rain or shine.
There were times when you were independent and desired no one's support or help.
There were times when you sat down to reflect upon your most indestructible self.
There were times when you stood alone to face whatever may come to you.
There were times when you assured yourself that every task you handled was merely a piece of cake to you.
There were times when you decided not to give up and plunged back with determination.
There were times when you were exceptionally rewarded for your tremendous efforts in not giving up...
So Rise up and stride over!!!

Whispers of Nature

Walking exhausted through the busy streets,
I kept drowning in the pool of thoughts.
Ignoring the dreadful sight of creeps,
Gazing at me addled in all sorts.

With tears streaming down my face,
And my heart weighing a ton.
Legs giving up even at the slowest pace,
I chose not to stop but to run.

While escaping from the dreadful truth,
I found myself drawn to the seashore.
With its ambience serene and smooth,
Hushing and calming down my core.

I slowly sat down on the sand,
Looking at the evening blues.
Feeling emotions surge within my hand,
Leaving me devoid of all clues.

When I closed my eyes to feel the breeze,
And forget my worries for a moment.
I woke up to the swaying of trees,
Keeping the atmosphere pleasant.

I laid down flat on the ground,
More comfortable, cosy and warm.
Under the spell of the tranquil sound,
And it's magnificent and alluring charm.

The sun shone faintly over my palms,
Greeting me with warmth and gentleness.
Assuring me I was free from all harms,
And could begin anew with faithfulness.

The waves quietly caressed my feet,
Bringing a sense of stillness within me.
Encouraging me to skillfully compete,
With hurdles in life; and live carefree.

The white and grey clouds gathered together,
And bent down to shower their magic upon me.
Cheering me to savour each moment ever,
And create a world where I am free.

The trees majestically danced with the wind,
Showing me their robustness and strength.
Teaching me to stay strong and bound,
Embracing all my life values profound.

As the night falls, comes the moon,
Showing me the brightness in the dark.
Telling me to start over soon,
Continuing with Happiness, and a hopeful spark.

Always in my toughest times,
All of them held me firm and tight.
Reassuring me of their support at all times,
And teaching me to stand strong and fight.

A Tale of Redemption

She was happy,
Smiling and cheerful,
They felt envious of her.

She was hardworking,
Brilliant and brave,
They grew spiteful of her.

She had an attractive charm,
And an innocent soul,
They felt more jealous of her.

She was kind,
Calm and mindful,
Now they grew resentful of her.

Little did she know,
They became monsters,
To poison her soul to death.

Her ANGEL tried to protect her,
Guard and hold her tight,
Until she lost her spirit.

They cut off her wings,
Wrecked her soul,
Making her lifeless and quiet forever.

Now her angel completely hushed,
She was all on her own,
When all the truths unfold.

Trying to battle and survive,
The whole new ball game,
She fell apart, giving up forever.

She looked for her angel,
To come and protect her,
But pointless and in vain.

Her soul was now broken,
Shattered into the tiniest of shards,
One could never join them back.

When darkness engulfed her,
She tried and tried,
Until she lost all her strength.

Then she realized,
She was defeated,
In the battle with her life.

They rejoiced to see her
Shattered and hopeless,
Weak and lifeless.

Little did they know,
Someone was watching them,
And the game had just begun.

She then heard a voice,
Deep, raspy and hoarse,
And then a hand reached out to her cries.

A black entity in disguise,
Promised to be her guardian,
And save her from them.

Then she slowly stood up again,
Gaining her courage,
And to face them all.

This time she was stronger than ever,
Powerful and robust,
Now they could not even touch her.

They grew green-eyed,
And tried to annihilate her again,
So that she can never come back.

But then she stood calm,
Quiet and hopeful,
Calling out for her guardian entity.

There he stood before them,
Heartless and rageful,
To destroy them for hurting his little master.

Now they knew it was the end,
When they recognized and feared him,
Whom others called the DEVIL.

When she lost her angel,
And even herself,
She unleashed the devil within her.

Both together now fearless and firm,
Silenced everyone to their deepest roots,
Threatening their dearest lives.

She was now unstoppable,
Stronger and daring than ever,
As he stood along with her at all times.

He taught her to fight back,
And regain her lost self,
And also promised to protect her,
For the rest of her life!!

Echoes in the Shadows

Gazing up at the dark and grey sky,
While Sparkling drizzles adorn the earth,
Calmness filling up as time goes by,
And the drops trickle down the hearth.

I settled down to cherish the serene blues,
Engaged deeply in its scenic imagery,
Which brings back the echoes and views,
Of my tender and dreamy childhood memory.

Several scenes vividly playing through my mind,
And various conversations echoing inside,
Leaving me restless with a whole new find,
Urging me desperately to travel back and confide.

If only I could go back in time,
Yearning to meet my younger self once more,
For it's not a sinful fault or malicious crime,
I would teach her many things in store.

First, I would delicately take her in my embrace,
And softly stroke the strands of her hair,
Assuring her that she made it through the chase,
Not giving up even in her darkest despair.

I would shower her with a treasure of rewards,
For being kind and helpful to others around her,
Also telling her not to forget the regards,
And to be kind to herself despite any blur.

I would take her to mountains and rivers,
For they could make an inseparable bond together,
As they stand by her in the toughest quivers,
And would support and befriend her forever.

I would describe to her the profound joy,
Of achieving her precious visions and dreams,
The deepest connections woven in her heart's ploy,
While reaching for those priceless fantasies.

I would prepare her to face the worst,
While trying to be brave and consistent,
Throughout her valuable self-exploration quest,
And would teach her to be strong and confident.

I would teach her the essence of euphoria,
In every small and tender delight,
From the warmth of those close to her aura,
That would ease her pain and make things right.

At times when people would disown her,
Judging her efforts and attempts,
I would teach her to trust herself and persevere,
To move on and achieve her greatest triumphs.

When life seems tough with each passing second,
I would ask her to remember my guidance,
That would keep her going till the end,
Without too many regrets and hindrances.

If only I could go back in time,
Wishing to make her stronger than ever,
For it's not a sinful fault or malicious crime,
That would help her surpass her struggles forever.
