Cold Across a Windowsill

if
just for a moment
seasons change
as river water slows
morning dreams
wake upon
the sweetest of memories
you are lost
between years
and nowhere
are there tears
a wind whispers
cold
across a windowsill
open
where lingers
the flavors
of a young man’s summer
snow
lies frozen in the
still of silence
as air holds like ice
in a throat
just about to speak
rhyme
across an acoustic guitar
strings
eyes go closed
where autumn stalls
a voice sings
across chance
a man
sees
water
fall across his sighs
as sweat upon
his tries
if just for a moment
you believe
in the mirror
nailed to a closed door
where less than nothing
is only more.

Silent Light, Homeless Night

silent light
cast
shadowless
a homeless night
to lose your name
cold wind
across your dreams
lost between pawns
in the human game
blood falls
within your child’s tears
frozen moments
frozen years
empty eyes
shattered mirror tries
and a man
is left with only
questions
and maybe a scream
of what
does this all mean
no god walks across
these cold lonely gutters
under windowless
church walls
in where
a silent light does fall.

Sandy

long dark night
cold silence
ice dreams
and tomorrow

warm hands
of people
just people who care
who dare
to believe
not religion
not corporations
not politicians
just people
working class people

warmth
within this
long dark night.

Where Children Dare To Believe

sitting on a
new york city stoop
painted red
just below a darkened
railroad apartment
2 bedrooms / 5 people
1069
autumn has fallen
no trees grow within concrete sidewalks
to notice /
winter whispers
long wind rhyme
cold
across a late evening
windows are lit
walking in time

a poet begins his crawl
across my mind
as a boy
doesn’t believe in believing
there is death and war
in my eyes
and so deeply he sighs
long wind rhyme
i sit
lost within a street-lamp
shadow
drifting
light shifting
looking for reason
in a season
where children dare to believe

suddenly
1976
death and war
still a loud echo
in my tries
yet
in my eyes
whispers the breath

of a child
within the shadow
of christmas tree lights
softly bleeding her sighs
in a season
where children dare to believe

in a poet’s find
adrift
within a man’s mind.

Such Silence

as our earth breaks
shakes
within an ocean
who takes
the souls of,
there is such a silence
within an angel’s tears
which fall as snow
across un-dug graves
songs whisper as wind
caressing all their dying eyes
lost,
so lost in a moment
where
man can only sigh.

Candle Light

within
an angel’s eyes
seen
through frozen glass
a window dream
deep
a long winter night
cold
crystal butterfly whispers
calling
sweet winter
falling
where
fireplace yearning
burns life
candle light
deep in
the eyes
of a child believing
dancing across
your human soul.

River Bell

seasons come as reasons go
darkness on the edge of shadow
light
dreams within the echo
somewhere in-between
a man sits on a long
wooden pier
washing free his eyes
where whispers a river
where tomorrow begins
years unspoken
fall
river bell
sweet sweet sound.

Moon Night Wind

i heard the voice
of a man
i couldn’t see
who spoke a language
i couldn’t understand
who dreams a dream
of a life
returned or free
just a man
nation-less
with somewhere to be

i found a mirror lost
in a desert sand
time falling from my hands

i heard a man
who dares to speak
finger drawn words
and dirty window seasons

moon night wind
in a poet’s words
i heard in language free
reasons to bleed
reasons to believe

i heard the voice
of a man i could see
whispering tree
in a language
a man could understand
across a tree
of life, growing in a deep sand.

I Accuse

for the love of death
you try
to blind
the eyes of god
with
too many tears
forced from
the caring hearts
of his angels
in so, this poet
accuses these cowards
of
hiding behind children
these pedophiles without souls
and in a universe without hell
it is they
who create it!

Whispers the Light

Christmas tree
window alight
for a winter dream rhyme
a day
a season
a suspension within time
drift
where snow rests
upon a soul's silence
whispers the light
carrying the night
quest for a reason
to see
beyond the mirror
hippies lost in a circle rhythm
where water calls
falls to truth
drifts the echoes of peace
on earth...
