Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
I want to be left alone
alone and away from my thoughts
not the people around me
they don't bother me, I do
my mind bothers me
every minute incarnates a new thought
every thought leads to new problems
with new solutions waiting to be found
they will be found, but when?
time is relative but how does it relate to me
when nothing is willing to go at my pace
unless—
unless I coerce the cadence of my thoughts
I reckon this may work

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
Yesterday, I met the ghost inside of me
He told me he’s from Tennessee
Why had he been here, if in a day he’d disappear
To me all of it was unclear and yet I did not fear
I had to know the reason that made him be
Here. If only the future I could foresee
I did not see the relevance of his existence
I wanted him to leave without any evidence
Was it because I feared the thought
Of him bringing out something I distraught
Picturing the manifestation of my mind
Suddenly he reappeared leaving me confined
This feeling was familiar I thought
Was it real or was it naught
I did not want to do something I repined
With so many clues around I felt blind
I wanted to know who he was and kept him by my side
So I decided not to ward him off with my evil eye
An epiphany waiting to strike my conscience
I got from my mind many responses
It doesn’t take an Albert Einstein to realize this
He wasn’t a stranger from the abyss
I was so reckless I hadn’t realized then,
That it was my long lost friend that I never saw again

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
Do not believe all that’s told
All that glitters is not gold
It might look glittery, shiny, and bright
But deep inside there is no light
I saw this woman, she looked pretty and nice
When I got to know her she was cold as ice
In seconds she went from goddess to vigilante
Choosing black is safer than gold can be
She was fire when I first saw her
Burned when I touched her, I shouldn’t have bothered
After all that’s happened hope is dainty
For not looking out for myself I really hate me
When you put all your hope and trust in one
They break it apart and it is all gone
All you have is broken pieces
Looking at it your mind reminiscences
Thinking back on mistakes you made
Do you wish that it would fade?
In your heart, it is stuck forever
Will you put your trust in one? Oh I would never
There aren’t bad people in this world
Just moral people who have a grudge they hold
There is truth waiting to be told
All that glitters is not gold

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
Pretty little wings on my body
Some do say they look gaudy
Flapping my wings like a bird in the sky
But I don't have the might to fly so high
Oops! The day is done and I've just died

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
Misuse of services by force or labour without payment
To get over this be patient
We’re getting the repayment
No haste, just wait there are rules to follow
Article 23 forbids this so you just swallow
Just cause remuneration is given in labour
It’s not in your favour, to escape the aver
Following this right is your only saver
Forcing helpless women into prostitution is called unconstitutional
So start a revolution to make an evolution
The constitution, is an institution, to make a resolution, in an elocution
If it all goes wrong make a devolution
Trafficking involves the buying and selling of men and women
Let’s make it our mission to help the men and women
The next right is given it’s the right to culture and education
Measures to protect the rights of cultural, linguistic, and religious minorities
Following this right is our number one priority
By protecting them against discrimination
Use your imagination, to appreciate this creation cause in our generation we’ll achieve liberation
Citizens having a distinct language, script, or culture of their own
Be who you want to be either Drake or Post Malone
Pick up the phone because you’re not alone
So if you wanna be known take your seat on the throne
Prohibit discrimination against any citizen
Cause we are one working together we’ll hit a home run
This rule has important necessities
Just like the right to constitutional remedies
Identified as a right to own or possess something
Land, automobile it could be anything
Dispose it when you want to
There’s no one that can stop you
To have an enforceable claim to benefit of it
This right is your permit to get the property that you think fits
That focuses on the exclusive right to ownership
So I’ll admit and you submit to the dealership
Distinguishes between possession of property
The right states everything is perfect and properly
Don’t take it as a mockery
And that my friends was the 7 constitutional lotteries

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
The chair stands still, but it speaks
It’s waiting to be sat on
The lock is rusty and left hanging
It’s waiting to be opened
Secrets untold but there’s more
Because it’s better off unknown
It’s already been said, over a million times
Every word and every moment repeated over again
It wasn’t the first time a chair stood still
Or the first time a lock was left hanging
There’s nothing I want to say
To someone who never asks if I do
To someone who can never understand my point of view
Why speak when there’s no one to listen
Why stay when there’s nothing to say
‘’Why are you so quiet?’’ they ask

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
What is home? Is it a place or a feeling?
Maybe it’s a room with a ceiling,
Or a place where you learn and grow
Is it comfort that you felt from years ago?
It could be the safeness one can provide you
Everyone has their own point of view
Home is a safe haven
That makes you feel like you’re in heaven
It’s where we can be ourselves
It’s where all our memories dwell
It makes you feel cozy and warm even in winter
You know you can count on her
We are connected forever, you and I
Like Americans with the Fourth of July
No one can state facts against this
Because home is where the heart is

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
Life can be like a cloudy day
You might feel a little grey
If only the sky was clear
Then all our problems would disappear
All your hope has vanished
Are they forever banished!?
Maybe it’s a sign of the times
Thinking about it is not a crime
Everyone has their bad days
To recuperate it there are many ways
You will always have someone who will guide you
So you can finally get through
Nothing can ever last forever
To gain eternal happiness we must endeavour
The sky clears and the stars shine bright
Bright all day and all night

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
The atmosphere’s changing again and again
With each moment comes a different season
What I know now is unlike what I knew then
And all of them line up with reasons
Why Easter sets Out to grow and renew
And how summer is a picnic basket
Revolutions that vow to unfold to you
Are soon put away deep in a casket
The sky is painted grey tonight
Where the fruitful darkness shined
Cotton balls in the sky weaving fright
All I can do is wait for autumn to be mined
One minute of warmth was all I got
And winter began one cold morning
Evoking its peace in stillness it was caught
Hoping and lingering for a jubilant rewarming

Madhumitha Rajesh Poem
universe colliding, waiting for the end
the fate of the universe might be determined by its destiny
for this is the end but the beginning of something beyond ourselves
preoccupied in its beauty are glistening eyes
i remember the thoughts i had
over the afternoon tea
the universe was ending
but it did not seem so to me
i only awaited for opportunity
because that's all i would know and see
not that the universe was ending in the eyes of me
