Guru Mali Poem
the storm that came along,
my mind’s swirling around.
i stand stunned
thinking nothing.
my heart came across
this arcane boulevard
novice to the avant-garde voyage.
being lost felt like being found
my spirit’s spellbound.
this pristine boulevard
feels so like home.
i am not alone…
am i?
answer me,
is it you mi amor?
my destination
adorned by my destiny.

Guru Mali Poem
i get you,
your obscure words
meaning the world to me.
your innocence
very dear to me.
yes i get you…
meanwhile,
my cursory mind
rests at the feet of forbearance
misfit to feel your longing.
i hold back
for my strictures are strong.
but i feel it,
the intense you.

Guru Mali Poem
the river bank calm
and the augmenting silence
between us.
minds enveloped in scepticism,
actions tied with strictures.
“Can we ever be the same?”,
she asked.
her eyes nostalgic.
time paralysed.
i could say nothing
but shed a tear.

Guru Mali Poem
how can I not fall
for your heart's such a finesse
beauty in its own
mine enamoured of yours
heartbeats amplify each moment
yet this soft silence
weaves a storm
anticipating the end
of this very separation

Guru Mali Poem
i found, i felt and i lost
in a way that kept me incomplete.
its presence was like a shooting star
beautiful, blazing and impeccable
but vanished in a jiffy
like it was mine just to see
but never to belong to.
i look for it every night
in the darkest corner of heavens
in the brightest brilliant specks of light.
i run in hysterics
chasing the infinite void
just to find you smiling
in the shedded teardrops
of my hopeless heart.

Guru Mali Poem
i stood there and watched
on the shore amidst an emerald ocean
the beautifully crafted horizon
the vibrant colours
and happiness.
i have the freedom to express
yell out how i feel
but the ocean
it just stood there
didn’t talk back.
so
i stood there and watched
on the shore amidst an emerald ocean
smiling and admiring
feeling
the gentle lapping waves of friendship.

Guru Mali Poem
it’s just another day
yet the air scents different today.
am not hurt
yet i feel my moist eye lashes.
is it your absence?
or the truth i know?
the truth that things are falling apart
the truth that you can’t understand me
the truth that there is no me without thee
but...
i know you feel it,
you feel the soft grime on the path of enamour
the path that i’d paved for us to walk together.
even this day the cupids whisper in my ear
the melodious sound of your beating heart.
how do I tell you my musings
for the fear of separation hovers over me.
this epoch of time, unmoving
i keep quiet and move along with you,
silently.

Guru Mali Poem
i walked down the alley of my mind,
it was lonely.
i entered the room of my heart,
it was empty.
i peeped through my eyes,
i was blind.
what spell did time caste on us?
your absence in abundance...
‘cause i scented your aroma.
it had waned.

Guru Mali Poem
this rancorous separation
digging an abyss in my heart.
i anticipate
your beauty
your love
your soul.
and in this very moment
i am with myself,
contemplating your presence
in your rancorous absence.

Guru Mali Poem
the subtle gaze…
is it just me scenting the lavender
and mind playing symphony?
why do i stutter while speaking
and my leg trembling anxiously?
oh is it the same for you
the waning pace of the clock?
zillions many questions,
not a single answer.
moments dilated to eternity.
yet
why does
rift befall
instantly?
