Comedy

Panicked trips down the rabbit hole goes as follows,
Far beneath the depths and hollows.
Way before first breath of plaque,
Meaningless so void and vague.
Til death you see we meet again,
Born to die and live to sin.
Time is out and toll the bell,
Body in the wishing well.
The truth of lies is in between,
No justice here, no peace is seen.
Make it stop, please go away,
Forget the past, you rue the day.
We are all alone no one to blame,
Count your years and spell your name.
Ride your bikes and play a game.
Earn your keep and your father’s name.
The ship has sunk and now we float,
No need to send a rescue boat.
For I shall die here anyway,
For I shall die here any day.
I’ve dug too deep you see I’m blind,
I’ve lost my soul I’ve lost my mind.

Sands of Time

When I stand on the shore, everything makes sense.
I am forced into the now.
All of my senses are being utilized as nature intended.
I experience comfort.
My fear of death fades away.
The air smells refreshing, salty.
The wet sand under my feet and the wind at my face feels just right.
I can see eternity.
I am temporary and that is ok.
This world is fascinating, captivating,
Nature provides.
My mind goes blank as I peer into eternity.
My soul no longer aches.
I admire nature’s beauty.
I feel no illness. No worries. No sorrow
For a moment, I let the rest of the world worry about itself, selfishly.
I am home.
As the sun sets, reality checks in.
Time to go.
Time...
Where does it go?
Sometimes I miss the good times.
Well, I have run out of time.
I must go now.

Whole

So many people from so many places.
Endless expressions on all of their faces.
Where will this road take me to?
I am sure I will know, it is tried and true,
The path ahead we all must take,
The lives we changed within our wake.
Life’s endeavors end our fear,
This you see is crystal clear.
Mystics, psychics, healers, and jesters beware,
For goodness sake you must be fair.
How soon you forget the judgment comes,
The table is full, it is full of crumbs.
Dots and pieces misalign,
Product of the great design.

Wet River

Hey wet river.
Hello dry bones.
Feel the rhythm?
Hear the tones?
Wet, wet,
The river gives.
Wet, wet,
The river takes.
Walk along the brooks and streams,
Run along the ponds and lakes.
Close my eyes,
I hear no more.
I will exhaust,
I will explore.
Through the forest,
I run, I run.
Fear for when
My time is done.
Kick up your feet,
Enjoy the shows.
This is where the
Rabbit goes.

Inevitable

Blind squirrels and broke clocks
Take short drinks for long walks.
Death is a rite of passage,
Whether you are ready or not.
No, wait.
Never mind.
I forgot.
There I go again,
Lost my train of thought.
The perpetual sunlight hurts my eyes,
Nowhere near the pain of lies.
Hid behind their false disguise,
Lady bugs and fireflies.
Apple bottoms, cherry pies.
All the things I ever loved.
All the foes my hands have shoved.
All the sights my eyes have seen.
All the laughs and tears between.
The moment passed
The moment lost
Your precious time
Is what it cost.

Hollow

I have loved and lost and watched myself turn evil with nothing to gain yet still remain.

Reprieve

Sometimes in the dead of night,
I feel His presence.
My soul feels peace and I see the beauty.
I am safe.
I lay down my sword and shield and weep.
I bow my head at His feet.
I feel His hand on my head.
Nothing can hurt me in this moment.
There is no fear,
No regret,
No anxiety,
No pain,
No sadness,
Only love.
Mercy.
He hears my cries.
My prayers.
He protects me when I'm most vulnerable.
He reminds me there is a battle,
And I have a duty.
I wipe my tears and close my eyes,
May God be with us,
When we arise

3 Am Manic Depressive Tears

The next time you cry,
Acknowledge the warmth of those salty tears upon your cheeks.
That is what it is to be alive.
To have,
To had.
The moment.
I assure you in those lonely moments,
You will feel how strong you are,
How resilient.
You can survive this life,
If only,
You Acknowledge

Bad Things Good People

You don’t like love.
You love it,
Don’t you?
Always have,
Always will.
Necessity is the mother of all creation.
But what about the Father?
In due time you will see,
You will all see.
Father, Mother.
Sister, Brother.
We are all adopted.
One another.
Even though your tears are real,
You know what is owed.
You know the deal
Multiply.
You don’t like love.
You love it
