Daydream To Reality

A trip long wanted awaitng me.

Up at the Eiffel Tower looking below

Testing my luck at the Fontana di Trevi

"London's Calling" me

Tempting me

Big Ben's not Far

Off to hundreds of miles away

Where sakura blossoms flutter all around me

Blooming for me just once

J-rock fills my ears

A lovely unexpected sound indeed

Then suddenly I'm awake

Brought back from my daydreams

All the while thinking

That dream doesn't have to be out of reach.

Awful Sound a Closed Door Makes

Family.
What comes to mind when that word is said.
Fun reunions,
Caring relatives maybe?
Ha. Thats not what i see.
I see closed doors all around me
Asphxiating me,
Closing in on me, making themselves more apparent,
Laughing.
I see backs turned toward us.
Closed doors... no help.
Family is such a big word.
With a huge meaning that can easily be broken or lost along the way.
And mines falling apart.
No ones willing to lend a hand, open a door.
But I refuse.
I refuse to be another closed door.
Here and now it ends
I will never Close,
Shut,
Or lock it.
I will never let my hand fall to my side
It ends here
With me.
I refuse to be another closed door.
Because I know...without wanting to...whos tears and heartache come with it.
Because I know what an awful sound a closed door makes...

Don'T Hesitate, Just Do.

What do you imagine when you look into the future?

Do you see light? Darkness?

Is it cold? Sunny maybe?

Do you see yourself?

Your success or failure?

Happiness or depression?

Did you reach your dreams?

Or did you fall?

Do you have a life at all?

Well stop thinking,

And just do.

Just make what you want happen.

Lunge for it. No regrets…

And make it.

Insidious

Its sudden.
Comes out of nowhere,
Sneaks up on you,
It seems to do that a lot.
Pounces on you when you least expect it.
It’s a rush of feelings really,
But then there’s one that stands out….acknowledgement.
Of the world outside
The “real world” as we’ve all come to know it as
And all of a sudden your scared
Scared of that feeling in the pit of your stomach
But you see clearly now
That the ignorance you once had was your innocence
That it has left you
Gone with the years that have past you
And at that moment in time
When you were presented to the world
When you were thrust into this “real world”
At that moment in time
Your innocence was lost forever…

Times Running Out

BAM!BAM! BAM!
Times running out
Moms a mess
Dads trying to find a way for us,
A path,
Route,
Road,
Trail….Anything.
And ME
Ha.
I’m just waiting for that ominous knock on our door.
Saying, “Hey, Times UP!”
But then…
Then there’s that naïve innocent voice in the back of my head,
Hoping for some kind of miracle.
Hoping for God to step in.
To relieve me of my pains,
Worries,
Doubts,
Of the tears I cry at night .
Then reality takes over.
And I realize as I hear reality screaming at me.
He’s not coming.
But then.
Then I’m enveloped in a warmth,
A blanket of protection.
And as I’m whisked away from my fears and pain.
I realize with a content sigh…
He came.
I’m not alone,
Were not alone,
We never are…

Understood Only By You and Me

Everyday a day to look forward to with you
Because of you
Laughs you bring me everyday heard from miles away
Laughter understood only by you and me
Comfort given when the other needs it
Silence when were content to just listen
Content to just know the other is there
Silence understood only by you and me
Tears shed and shared
And forgiven
Then those gentle whispers said to each other
In the silent night
Right before we leave each other
One to walk the night
The other to walk the land of dreams
Those beautiful meaningful three words are said
And I swear when you speak them
When you say them to me
When you mean it
I swear
My heart stops
And I understand that its love understood…
….Understood only by you and me.

Caged In

What is this?
This feeling?
Screaming at me for freedom,
Trying to break free of its confines.
Persuading me for its chance to roam ,
And it worked,
I let it in,
Its Flowing through me now,
Its gotten hold of my emotions.
It's furious,
Tempting me to let it out,
Let the anger take complete control,
And so…....
Watch out,
Its free…

Home

I lived in a place where I took my first steps

Said my first words

Cried, screamed, and laughed for the first time

Brought into a place that would one day be missed

Where all you could see at night were the stars and downtown lights

A place where you heard sirens everyday, shots being fired, and helicopters above

Where everyone knew everyone

A place where despite the constant crimes

Somehow you would always see a smile

A place that was considered "ghetto" to others

But home to me

I lived in place called East Los Angeles, California

I lived in a place that will be missed and loved

But will never be forgotten…

Naive Fantasy

Hollow eyes
Unheard screams
Fake smiles
Eternal liars
Stuck in a world called reality
When all I want to do is
Reside in my dreams
Where everything is as it should be
Perfect as it always is
In this world I like to Fake
Where there are no troubles
Just solutions…

Time Leads To Thoughts

Tick Tock Tick Tock
Words a blur, numbers a nuisance,
People not noticing
What's right? What's wrong?
Am I right?
Or am I wrong?
Who am I?
A reflection I see
I don't like
Be better, Be someone else
Or should I be me?
What should I do?
Who's right? Who's wrong?
I don't know
But that's life right?
Full of questions
Answers you have to find on your own
Full of problems we all rather not know
Tick Tock Tick Tock
Mumbles heard, Cries ignored
What's right? What's wrong?
I don't know
I have no clue
But I plan to find the answers
And so much more…
Dont you?
