Insidious

Its sudden.
Comes out of nowhere, 
Sneaks up on you,
It seems to do that a lot.
Pounces on you when you least expect it.
It’s a rush of feelings really,
But then there’s one that stands out….acknowledgement.
Of the world outside 
The “real world” as we’ve all come to know it as
And all of a sudden your scared
Scared of that feeling in the pit of your stomach
But you see clearly now
That the ignorance you once had was your innocence
That it has left you
Gone with the years that have past you
And at that moment in time 
When you were presented to the world
When you were thrust into this “real world”
At that moment in time
Your innocence was lost forever…
