You Remain In Me

You remain in me.

Like how the stars remain in the sky,
hidden in the light of the sun
yet shining in the darkness of the twilight.

And like a seed
thrown on the golden autumn soil
and embraced by a blanket of snow,
you remain.
When suddenly, unexpectedly blooming
with the first rain of spring.

You remain in the depths of me.

While in the midst of passion and my racing heart
I see your face.
Then outside it drizzles,
but inside it rains.

And just when I thought
the slightest echo of your laughter has faded,
just when your song
stopped running in my head,
I'm awakened.

No more.

You're not with me.

Yet still.

You remain in me.

With Knowledge, I Soared

I stand here filled with things to share,
'Cuz years have passed, now I'm aware,
That time was never spent in vain
With wisdom acquired and knowledge gained.

I've learned a lot, or so I thought,
Here, near and far, and from those who taught.
At home where I have said my rhymes,
At school where facts were memorized.

In places I have been I've learned,
Different cultures and gods, yet the world still turned.
In fields I've tried how grains are planted,
In cities discovered how machines are started.

I've met a lot, friends I have found,
Played music, toyed with all kinds of sounds,
And with each note sung, with each encounter,
I learned from it, I tried to remember.

And as I stand here I know know my life's not wasted,
Not ignorance, but each lesson tasted.
Education gained from the world I explored,
Success! Because with knowledge, I soared!

In Your Arms Tonight...

In your arms tonight,
   you take away my sadness.
In your arms tonight,
   you lead me into madness.
And who's to say that this is wrong?
Each touch and whisper can't go on?

In your arms tonight,
I feel your love embrace me.
In your arms tonight,
   your beating heart against me.
Just hold me close and don't let go.
While darkness stays, our feelings grow.

In your arms tonight,
my heart just sings in silence.
In your arms tonight,
   serenity and calmness.
You comfort me, you warm my soul.
Don't stop me please, just let me fall!

In your arms tonight,
   I'll stay in sweet surrender.
In your arms tonight,
   I'll dream about forever.
Let's stay like this all through the night,
and wait not for the morning light.

Nature's Poetry

Poetry surrounds,
clothed in green tranquility-
Nature's masterpiece.

Evergreen

I took a walk along the path of memories,
Somewhere filled with shadows of "you and me".
And as the breeze echoed your laughter,
As the wind whispered my name with your voice,
As the lake reflected a picture of us together,
I looked around me and saw...
the beauty of spring we never shared,
traces of summer we spent apart,
autumn leaves falling as I stand there alone,
       showing signs of winter....
       ...bringing memories of you.

Seasons change,
And your world has change with the seasons.
Yet something inside me remains the same.
New life may bloom each spring,
the sun may smile upon you each summer,
nights may last longer each autumn
and the snow may cover memories each winter.

But my heart...
       it always speaks of you,
       it always beats for you,
       unchanging...

My heart belongs to you...

Still.

Silent Love

In my dreams you silently walk
along the pathways to my heart,
Reaching, touching me with every step you take.
And quietly my heart beats intensely
   as I long for you...
with your eyes looking deeply through me,
your hand touching me to the depths
              of my soul,
and your lips gently caressing mine...
                  Somewhere, where nothing exists,
                        not even time...
                               only love...
                                  and the two of us...

Once Upon Our Last Dance

Once upon a moment the sweetest music played,
You took my hand then led me to a dance.
And for a moment the world was ours,
And nothing else mattered.
We soared...
   reached the stars,
   circled the moon,
   painted rainbows,
   followed the sun,
   sang the most beautiful melody,
   touched heaven,
   kissed the wind,
stood at the peak of mountain tops,
   counted snowflakes,
   slept on clouds,
watched every flower as it bloomed,
   vanished distance,
   embraced the sky...
Yes, once upon a moment we danced...
Once upon a sweetest moment,
Once upon our last dance...
