Coffee not Tea for Andrea,Carolyn and Linda-Marie
Come on ladies pull out a chair and have a seat.
Pour yourself a cup of coffee and sugar makes it sweet.
A friendly conversation and a cup of joe.
To ask about my fellow poets who I hardly know.
We didn't dress fancy or pretty up our hair.
Told one another about things we needed to share.
There are things in life women need to say.
Sometimes in troubles we ask our friends to pray.
So Andrea,Carolyn or Linda-Marie.
If you need a cup of java remember me.

A GREAT TIME
We are at the P.S.convention at a table of four.
Sitting at our table was me,Michael and two more.
They were speaking about poetry and our poet friends.
We're laughing and saying to each other hope this night
never ends.
They were late but Andrea and Linda-Maria finally showed.
Andrea said the reason we're late we had to find a place
to park so we wouldn't get towed.
So as the night wynnded down and fun was over.
Remember a poetry friend is like no other.

SNOW,SNOW,SNOW"
I'm stuck in the house again.
Blowing snow that freezes skin.
Burning wood to stay warm.
Covered with snow in the next morn.
Thank God we were ready when it came.
The storm of the century will never been the same.
Everything is white and covered with snow.
When we get out of the yard we don't know.
So hope we're not stuck for very long.
Hopeing my faith stays strong.

My grandpa's old cowboy hat.
He wanted me to have it when he died.
He covered it with this and that.
Wore it in the rain and hung it up until it dried.
They called my grandpa cowboy Pat.

. BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP
When I walk I hold my head down.
Very shy and always carry a frown.
A little meek and hardly ever smile.
Everyone laughs cause I have no style.
The way I wish I was is only in my dreams.
Because of my bad self esteem.
The way I feel is oh so true.
"I have dipped my pen in the sublime, it is my gift to you"
I have no friends and no one really cares.
The way I look makes people only stare.
When I see myself all I do is weep.
Mama says sweetie beauty is only skin deep.
She looked at me and said you remember this
you close your eyes and make a wish.
Life is what makes you who you are.
Be a good person and that will make you a star.

In the water is the mirrored image I see.
The true beauty is a reflection of me.
Thoughts that run through my mind are my beliefs that I cannot find.
Like the flowers that float in the water are my memories of Chloe my daughter. She's now an angel taken from me.

This poem waswrote with my granddaughter in mind.
CRAZY HATS
I wore a crazy hat to school today.
Everyone starred at me with nothing to say.
Then they asked where did you get that hat.
Surprised I said I got it from a red,white cat.
I wore the crazy hat so everyone would see.
What a special friend I could be.
So I wore a crazy hat one day to school.
All the kids said that crazy hat is really cool.

Our little church is filled with the rich and poor.
We feel no one's better as you come through these doors.
Were a small church but we do our best.
Putting our congregation to the test.
The time has come for you to be a winner.
Give your life to the Lord and don't be a sinner.
Bow your head to Jesus Christ and praise his name.
Accept Jesus Christ into your life and show no shame.
When life's hard we put it in the Lord's hands.
Believe your faith and follow his footprints
in the sand.
Jesus is in our hearts,soul and mind.
His word makes us loving,caring and kind.
