As Years Go By

In your 20’s you are fearless,
In your 30’s you’re divine,
In your 40’s you are ruthless,
But, start feeling the decline.
In your 50’s you start questioning
All the years you‘ve left behind.
In your 60’s you feel grateful,
For waking up each day.
In your 70’s it becomes surreal,
As your memory decades.
And this is why age stops right here
It’s merely my advice,
For those who go beyond their 80’s
Should just be happy they're alive.

For the Love of Money

For The Love of Money!

For the love of money, some will reap what they sow,
Get all that they can, even sell their own soul.
They’ll gather their things, and count their possessions.
Forget about others, even forget repercussions

For the love of money, they push, and they pull,
They cheat, and they’ll lie, and call it a goal.
There’s never enough, so they save, and they save,
Keep stashing it away until they’re deep in their grave.

For the “Love of money”, they want only the best,
Pat themselves on the back, while watching others in stress.
They’ll say they’re successful, and brag to their friends
They’ll covet what they have, show it off with a grin.

For the Love of money some turn a blinds eye,
Make excuses for telling some gigantic lies.
After all - if it gets us more money they’ll say,
“So what if they‘re poor, they still have to pay“.

For the Love of money, you must think it through,
For your brothers, and sisters might expect help from you..
You’re convinced it’s because you work harder by far,
Unlike them you were motivated, and reached for the stars.

For the Love of money, you will make it your god,
Turning every little gesture into a great big façade.
You’ll usurp God’s laws, and exchange with your own,
And in Lucifer’s delight, you’ll find him a home.

Because the Love of money, changes who you should be,
The more that you love it, the more you will need.
While you’re “loving your money“, you‘ll sow your own seed,
Because the root of this love is quite evil indeed.
