Her Song

Her voice, a piercing magic spell,
A soulful sound that rings so true,
Beth Hart sings from deep within,
Her songs, a mirror for us to view.

In "Leave the Light On," she confesses all,
Her demons, her fears, her pain untold,
A raw and honest vulnerability,
That touches us and breaks the mold.

"Our love is fading," she sings in "Tell Her You Belong to Me,"
Her heartache palpable in every word,
But through the tears and shattered dreams,
She shows us, true love must be heard.

With "Sister Heroine," she sings of strength,
Of women who rise above it all,
A tribute to the power of courage,
And the fight to never fall.

Beth Hart's voice, a force to be reckoned with,
A window to the depths of human soul,
Her music, a journey through life's highs and lows,
A tapestry of emotions that make us whole.

Predative Predator

Amidst the savannah roam conniving beasts,
Their motives mask their actions all too well,
In politics, their power never ceases,
Nigeria's fate, it seems, they seek to quell.

A hyena lurks in positions high,
Schemes with a jackal, plotting their deceit,
Their hunger gnaws, they seek to multiply,
Their tally of embezzled wealth complete.

The vulture watches, waiting in the wings,
To swoop and feast on riches unearned,
While rats scuttle in the shadows, unseen,
With cunning plans that leave their nation burned.

Oh, Nigeria, blest with such diversity,
To thrive, the beasts of politics must flee.

Screen of Awareness

As years go by, our bodies start to age,
Aging brings changes, our beliefs evolve.
Yet amidst this ever-changing stage,
Awareness remains constant, it resolves.

The screen of our minds, a constant presence,
On which life's ripples rise and fall with grace.
Beliefs and concepts may shift with no reverence,
Awareness, however, holds steadfast pace.

This constant presence, what could it be?
The answer may lie in our very souls,
A spark of divinity that sets us free,
Or a force beyond us, that controls.

Whatever it is, this awareness bright,
Shall guide us through life's dark and light.

The Hopeful Light

Don't commit suicide, there is still a way
Beyond the darkness, there is a hopeful light
Push through the pain, dawn will bring a new day

Amidst the struggles, keep up the fight
Don't give up on the precious gift of life
Beyond the darkness, there is a hopeful light

You are not alone in this endless strife
Reach out for help, find the strength to survive
Don't give up on the precious gift of life

Brighter days are yet to arrive
Don't let the darkness consume your soul
Reach out for help, find the strength to survive

Believe that you can start anew and be whole
Don't commit suicide, there is still a way
Don't let the darkness consume your soul
Push through the pain, dawn will bring a new day.
