I Disappear

wake up to serendipity
ignorant and unknown
shaken and not stirred
blond can be bond

Reality, metaphor and cliche
cheesy juvenile decay
Love, care and hate
past the use by date

of fights and torment
and well deserved lament
salute to the solitary reaper
with Metallica... I disappear

Lost

found and lost
schizo psychotic alterego
mirror image but much free
unhurried, carefree & ready to let go

stains on your cheeks!
did you ever cry?
the rope is too short
do you think you can try?

close your mind!
the haunting will not end
open your eyes
Its broken you cannot mend

where is huckleberry finn?
was it worth your while
time will stand still
you can curse and smile

Nevermind

Waiting for an epiphany
Something…anything…
A life in transit
Keyhole visions… narrowed too fine
Cynicism, mockery doing rounds
Despairing times… out of bounds

What could’ve been and what is…
Funny how the story doesn’t change
Driftwood listless, aimless
Who is your huckleberry finn?
Hypocrisies, deceit, lies and everything lame
That just leaves god left to blame

World

Winter of revelations
Rationed sunlight
Daylight savings and economic depressions
Lost jobs, welfare schemes, divided families
Drugged teens, abusive deans, suicidal dreams

Mortgages, republicans, Obamanomics
Global villages, borrowed monies, bailout packages
School dropouts, Outsourced to India, Made in China
Yes you can, yes you can’t
Middle East, jihad and Jerusalem

Hollywood, Bollywood, Dream factories
Greed, Excess, Blood and Gore
False prophets, Vigilantes, Moral Custodians
Culture, pluralism, clash of civilizations
Cornered hope, common man, is it so in heaven?
Hope floats, twilight zone, will thy kingdom come?

Whatever

breathless
hate induced misery
paradise lost...olivier twisted
stinging tears & rite of passage
lust of revenge
and a lifetime in hell

Die
stifled and buried under
hon'able man? Anthony said so
bloody rivers & the price of war
thirst of kill
and a season in hell

Seek

Murdered by Metaphor
mama called me a psycho
what is it good for?
Mumbo jumbo wacko jacko

humour the double edged sword
tormented, wrists slashed apart
Not alone, you got the lord
horrified and empty depart

Look there, a finer image
could 've been you
scratch the soul! rummage
was the pennace overdue?

requiem the wandering
journey just a reason
shame you find nothing
time again for an open season

Illusions

bedazzled!
often; not of the good kind
hijacked
impostor in my mind

manipulated
darn! they know the game
defeated
team is not the same

ridicule
you are not fit to play
failure
time for you to pay

enter
you pay no fee
exit
you cannot, dont you see

Soliloquies

In the smoke of cannabis induced haze
Whispers of ogres & imps of bygone age
Laughter echoes,
Fallen angels by the side
Of friends left behind…
And of memories washed ashore

A few tokes one too many
Broken blinds of my windows
Someone is peeping in now
Its just light…
Darkness seemed comforting
Of the many nights of insomnia
Some dreams are best seen awake

Stoned! But respite is none
Lines don’t rhyme… am I the one?
Who is crying?
Tears are just, wasted stains
Melancholy is a form of pastime
Nostalgia a derivative of self

Let Go

ringing ears and dead brain
helpless, shattered, nirvana
living in denial
shallow empty & void
past paused since ages ago
stranded alone... never to let go

dissolve dissect disinfect
reality reason & retrospect
despair in vogue
ticking time standing still
future ahead but miles to go
just got there but have to let go

bunnies scampering in the rabbit hole
Alice refuses to go on a roll
Rapunzel got no hair to let down
Cinderella's left without an evening gown
future paused & present was a while ago
escaped in the darkness never intended to let go

Walking Free

Distance that breeds love
Chasm beginning to envelop darkness
Concern that leaves a void
Of the broken bridges
And the pride in hate
I am humbled to walk the path again

Hate that leaves me breathless
Anger! Misplace righteousness
Cynicism, my guardian angel
Of the all knowing scorn
And the crutches of disdain
I am glad to walk free again
