The Power of Prayer

The Power Of Prayer 
I am alive because of prayer
I have been put to death several times
But someone prayed and brought me out of there
My life has been reborn ,from the arms of death .
Comes a Good man strong and reborn.

A praying man ,all though im not the best.
But with prayer behind me.
I can pass any test.

Bad most of my life
And causing my elders a lot of headaches in their lives.
Being a thug and trying to be hard.
Not knowing you really not hard unless you have the lord.

Out of death my eyes now see
All the bad things about me.
With the power of prayer I was saved.
From being a victim, dead and out of heavens way.
To becoming a man and thinking about heaven all day.

So pray and pray on because only with prayer you live on
And overcome despair.
Yes only through the power of prayer.

3 Am

3 AM 
It is the time when the souls of the world are still
When life is made and the angel of death kills 
All the stars shine in the sky and the moon gives the night light 
It is when my pen goes into my hand and my soul blooms at night 
The curse and the gift God gave to me to feel into words all in me 
To write the joy and pain that has burned inside me 
The twilight hour is over me 
Angels and demons sit on both sides of me 
Opening the wounds and scars of my life moving tears free
Moving me back to life when it was good
To become a man and mistakes that left me misunderstood
The person people look at and see the outside of me
Not the storms and waves thrashing the mind and soul inside me 
Love has battled to keep my soul good in the midst of evil times
Wisdom has in taken my mind to overlook things now that waste my time
God comes and listens to my soul leak its troubles and pains 
My prayers and my mind release, so much entwine and i write divine
Lost sometimes because of life but I write out of my soul to find me to know him 
Blooming out my soul at 3AM

While Your Gone

While You Gone

Heaven has open up the sky for you
Know your family and friends will deeply miss you
As you see the light in heaven and you flash that bright smile
Shine down with the rays of the sun to love on your family a while 
Your journey here was short but you made so many have joy
Your presence was felt on this earth an you got to feel joy

It will be hard on all of us as you are gone to meet God
While up there tell him to cover your family he will he is God
I will miss you my brother but I know you suffer no more
Your family will love and miss forever more
You wait for them now in your new body 
As the wind blows over them spread love over everybody

You travel to where we will have to go
Leave footprints so we will know where you go
Blow the wind and wipe your family tears 
No one day your family will come meet you in our final home 
They miss and long to see you here walking in your home
You rest in there hearts while you are gone

Your Heart 
My dear beautiful friend I hope it gets better this loss you just had
A mother is so hard to lose and I know it hurts very bad
She left proud of you and deeply loving you im sure of that 
The mother you have become an the powerful woman you are she was proud of that
Im an outsider looking in but see a strong and devoted mother my friend
I see a woman with class and I an not worried about your past 
You have to use that powerful spirit to hold up the fort for you and your son 
He loves you I see it in the pictures how he smiles with you 
God will take care of you and bring comfort to you 
Your weakness brokenness and problems will not stop you God loves you
He also has an angel your mother with him to watching over you 
Stay strong my friend and keep your soul full of memories an happy times
The proof of your mothers love is you and what she put in you with her time 
You will be strong and uphold your other family for I don’t see you as weak at all
You let that powerful soul inside you shine and give love to them all
Powerful caring and brilliant with a shine insed that lights up the dark

When Mama Sings

When Mama Sing

When mama would sing on Sunday it would bring me to tears
Lord knows I miss that voice I have not heard it for over 6 years 
My soil would move to her her notes she would hit lord so high
I’m crying now but I know she is in the sky singing to God real high
Her voice was powerful bring you to tears
God I would anything to hear one my time to stop my tears
She could sing an open heaven gate up
As I watch her die it mess me up
This beautiful woman that gave me birth to this world
Lord knows without her its cold in this cruel world 
My time cut short and God I was so upset 
As I write right now my face is wet
That was my mama my weight in gold
The voice and hands that nurtured my soul
The cakes that made me go wild as a child
The woman at the stove with a beautiful smile
My healing hands that touch me
My boat to carry me through stormy seas 
God knows my soul misses that voice from a person who was my everything
I know she in heaven and the sun shines when mama sings

Me and You 
   I feel like a soldier who drop his shield and is broken
Who walked away from his queen and rip her heart open 
I chose to make things safe because I wanted to protect your name 
To simply keep you safe and you not have to deal with any mess or mental pain
You may hate me and that’s a price I will pay to keep respect on your name
I could never ever think bad of you and I didn’t mean to cause you pain
I join because of you and I felt a really good vibe from you 
For giving me that step to go over the hill an join thank you
If I hurt you deep or cause you any tears it was never what I wanted to do
I honestly did not want any one where I was to bad mouth you
You are a great woman Gail your name is good and will remain good
You have a good heart and you are real people see it and feel its good 
Time plays games an they are sometimes cruel
I deeply wish in the beginning I had met you so I never had to leave an look cruel 
I pray you are triple blessed an you forgive for the choice I made
You deserve to keep your name good on the powerful business you made

For You Mom 

September always brings cold winds deep into my soul
My mom’s birthday and how it hurts not to see her hurts my soul
The day she passed broke me and I deeply wish she was still here
I loved my mom and to me she was so dear 
Your voice your cooking and your smile sit inside me everyday
Cancer is what to took you away and I miss you everyday
So many good memories of life and times with you
Deep in my heart at times I feel lost without you
Heaven has an angel singing in the choir now all the time
I wish I could hug you one more time 
You always loved when I wrote poems about you, I still do 
Every holiday and your birthday I would come see you and, in my soul, I still do 
All the diamonds in this world could not compare to you 
To me there was no one in this world better than you

God smiles when you wake up and he hears your prayers everyday 
You are the flower in your family that blooms every day
The rock for so many that helps them through

I love you more than anything in this world 
For 22 years you have been my life and my world 
The hope I held on to when all my pride was gone 
The tough woman who pushed my broken spirit along an kept me strong
