Mutiny

Sifting through blood & marrow
Excavating remnants of my heart
Trying to piece together
The reason for my treason
Nervously sitting upon the judgment seat
Twiddling my guilt away
Beads of blood mix with perspiration
As the adversary begins to interrogate
No amount of negotiation
Can save me from my sins
No amount of apologies
Can erase the pain I've inflicted
Upon so many innocent souls
Time soon reveals herself my enemy
Laying accusation before the jury
Needless sorrow floods the heart
Regret pierces sun dried skin
Cutting sharper than any blade can cut
Frustration finds itself within the constraints of my mind
Leaving me to wallow in mutiny
Before my wake.

Makers

Take this sun away
Throw it into the fray
When I'm down
You kick me in the heart
Leaving me to wallow
With my heart bruised & hallow

Left dreaming
Deaf to the electric screaming
Screeching in my brain
Nick naming me Cain
Translating hurt as shame
Calling me weird & maimed

Blinded by the harvest moon
I start to act like a loon
The onslaught of craziness croons
Morphing into an anime cartoon
Tracing the outline of having fun
My hopes are buried with the sun

In the game of saints & sinners
We're all winners
No ones ideal is any better
Let's break bread, let's have dinner
At the chapel
Or someplace finer

There's a light shinning in the distance
The glow illuminating my sleep
Exposing every creep
Crawling back into my closet
Of discontent
In the storm of injustice
I lament

Writing letters to a nameless power
Urging for the removal of cowardice & ego
Unheeded are my words
Falling on deaf ears of entitlement & violence
Yet I will not be silenced
For we are the making of our own demise.

Stardust

We are stardust
Floating in celestial wind
Carried through the Galaxy
Our conscious knows no end

Dancing in ethereal colors
Painting life in rainbow lights
Sailing through the dark
Love igniting our souls spark

Diving in shades of cool
Letting go of all that fools
Ridding our hearts
Of every hinderance

We are stardust
Journeying through time
Searching for the path
That leads to eternity.

Infanticide

This final fantasy is hard to play
When you choose to run away
Do I love you?
It's hard to say
Luckily I know which way to turn
When our love comes to a burn
You tend to hide away
In the fray of losing control
When I bow my head to pray
This final fantasy rips me in two
Heartbreaks & lies leave me beaten & battered
On the outskirts of town
Counting down the memories
Till only a phantom remains
Lost within the fantasy.

Maturity Equals Fear

Swirling enveloped by the sun
Staring at the sky
Trying to outrun
The sign
Of ambiguity

Dancing in the snow
Inhaling frigid air
Wanting to know
How far fantasy
Is from reality?

Painting on stained canvas
Picturing us together
Yearning to go back to the beginning
Back to a clean slate
To white canvas

Digging for remnants of who we used to be
Searching for shards of who we were
I need you, like I need the sun
I need you to hold my hand
I need a friend

Stay with me
Before we disintegrate into the sea
Vanish into the air
Forget without a care
Shackled to a nameless fear.

Nyx

You called just to say
You’ve had enough of me
Distraught
Distracted with thoughts irrelevant
Sitting in dissonance
And starry eyed innocence
Tongue-tied
My heart died
It fell into the hands of Nyx
And thrown into the river Styx.

Reconfiguring the Architecture of Love

Stripping away layers of confusion
Staring into the eyes of my lover
Stripping in the dark for my man
Needing him to hold me as we make love
As we embark on this journey
Searching for a life paved in gold
We run into the arms of the future
Trying to reconfigure the architecture of love
Kissing each-other out in the open in my dreams
With a passion of a matador
Keeping the candle lit
Leaving the door unlocked
Waiting for my lover to initiate & push play
Running my tongue all over his immaculate body
Sucking him till he begs for relief
Needing him inside me
Wanting him always.

Viper Kiss

Kissing with the lips of a viper
Making out with every pauper
Trying to find what suits
What's proper
Licking my lips at the thought
Of another delectable morsel
Leaving behind another fossil
Craving a man full of strength & character
Encountering weak & laughable jesters
Longing for the embrace of a strong man
Yearning for the lips of a true man
Who can lead me into temptation
And not turn me away
From the path of self-gratification.

Moonlight

Looking for a way out
Trying to outrun the shadows in the dark
Caught in this bout
Of confidence and doubt

Driving with my eyes closed
Never knowing where to turn
I prick my finger on a rose
I catch myself falling, only to burn

Atmosphere and fear
Lead me down a path unclear

Looking at the stars
Trying to forget my cares
Sinking in the eternity of the night
Slipping away into moonlight.

Nothing Is As It Seems

Nothing is for certain
Left alone in the freezing frigid winter air
Thinking>>always thinking
I think I think too much<<
I always find myself alone in the end

Thinking how, when & where it all went wrong///
I'm not as strong as I think I am
Thinking that I'm more than I am
Ashamed to say I'm nothing more than a man

Corrupt to a fault
I know how to play the game of espionage
Manipulation comes easy to a quiet "good" little boy
Who spent his days observing human frailties & weaknesses
Using shyness as a guise to masquerade in the lion's den of hypocrisy & denial
A master of disguise, I've become a thespian of sorts
Performing before a sold-out theatre***
Closing with a standing ovation.
