In Your Voice

I have sat in silence for so long
I feel the sound of my soul
I hear the beat of my heart
I can touch the thoughts
That cascade over the deafening quiet
In silence there is no place to turn
But into the skin that holds me to this place
In this pale flesh lies a stillness
A calm amidst the storm
I have sat in silence for so long
I welcome the ebb and flow of your words
The whispers of a long-forgotten memory
Wash over me –in your voice, in the sound
I am finally home

Razor Blade

There is a line that separates reality from your desire
Cutting a path through the gray of confusion; a razor blade
Sharp and precise; the only tool for such a task
For a moment, desire bleeds through -you welcome the taste
But in the end, nothing keeps reality from crossing that same line
Not even a razor blade

The Crux

In the essence there is acceptance
Unconditional to a point of escape
The exit to life in a rapture of mystery
In here love knows no bounds

I want to be the light when you are surrounded by darkness
I want to bring you shadow when the light is too intense
I want to surround you with the night when you need the daylight to fade
I want to envelope you with warmth when the blackness is too cold
I want to cool your soul when the heat becomes oppressive
Let me warm you, cool you, soothe you and shelter your soul
It is the very least that you deserve...The night, the day, the sun and the moon, the stars –my gift to you
