How Do You Feel

"How Do You Feel"
Waking each night at the same hour
4am power
Frustratedly tossing and turning
mindlessness soaring.
No cars passing out on the roads,
the streetlights shine in through my windows,
feels like I'm stuck in a strange limbo
trapped between night and day.
Taking slow deep breaths
eyes so tired but no regrets
I feel like my bed is my body.

Little Angel

Little Angel.
It's cute when you smile and tell me I'm the best
It's sweet when you cry and snuggle into my chest.
It's great when you make me giggle and laugh
It's adorable when you break your snack in half.
I don't feel I've the words to truly say
Exactly what you mean to me each and every day.
I'm more joyful, courageous and strong 'cause of you
I love you beyond measure you know that it's true.

Valentine

Valentine.

Don't worry darling
It hurt beyond belief.
Remember how
You would buy me roses and
Tell me I was more beautiful or
That you could never get tired
Of looking at my face.
Don't worry darling
You got all that you wanted
You left, so you did get tired and now
You don't exist to me.
My heart went cold
Black and tired just like
Those roses wilting on my kitchen table.

Dolce Far Niente

Sun glistens through the curtains
plays with the cracks on the walls
a few floating clouds catch my eye.
I stretch out , almost gracefully like a cat.
As my feet touch cold wooden floorboards I grab a cosy blanket
to wrap myself in,
while tiptoeing to the kitchen to make some tea.
Oh the sweetness of doing nothing
I thought and I smiled and sipped my tea.
