Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
I am a woman…
I am a woman
Part of a powerful clan
Now is the time we must take a stand
Our rights are being taken
Our books are being banned
They want to erase us, it’s all very planned
The positions of politicians
With large egos and ambitions
Is the cause of these oppositions
What are we to do?
I won’t be remembered as a
women who kept quiet
My voice is as big as my size
Quite large as I don’t diet
Some hear me screaming and think it’s a riot
Just know I accept you
You have my respect
Nothing you do has had a bad affect
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Purple
What’s wrong with people’s minds?
How can they be so unkind?

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
This is me, the real me
and I have to find a different way to be
I've made up my mind
this world is very, very unkind
who decides my fate?
which road do I take?
life has me so unhinged
day in and day out, I cringe
I miss me, I miss me
did you know I was missing?
do you care?
that's life, trying to figure out
who we are
taking the only road we know
I miss me, I miss me

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
How many words can I write in a day?
Is it 5 or 10 per say?
How long would it take to get a chapter out?
All these questions, I just want to scream and shout.
Words come, and words go.
Some come fast and some come slow.
And some don’t come at all.
Sometimes I am at a stall.
One thing you don’t know about me,
I always come through, tears and all.
All my fears and all my tears
I feel drunk, stink like a skunk.
If I was running in an election, would people vote for me?
How many words can I write in a day?
How many do you say?

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
Oh… Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies,
Oh what lies they are…
For amber waves of grain:
The government is insane.
For purple mountains majestic
Above the fruit plain!
Why is no one sane?
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown they good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
But they couldn’t let the Native Americans be…
We are not all true Americans, we come from immigrants.
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
They say they don’t, but the government
Controls our life.
America, America…
Where is they liberty in law???

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
I like to eat tacos from a truck
drink water from the bay
dance in the rain
and cry in the dark
I sing in the shower
and scream in my dreams
I'm sorry, so very sorry
I'm tied, so very tired
take me to the gates
the pearly white gates
am I allowed in?
can I come in?
It's time to forgive me for my sins
Teshuvah, Teshuvah
Take me back home
I atone

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
Colors of Confusion
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Blue, I feel blue as I stare into an idea confused by the new:
Divided States of America.
Formally the United States of America.
Epstein’s dead, suicide they said…
Hollywood’s elite, they are all creeps.
Antifa/BLM cynical groups that believe Police are criminals.
Trump was President, it was pinnacle; a miracle that we survived in a country divided by hate.
What is the real mission of the politicians?
It’s the have and the have not’s, the keeping up with the Joneses era.
The Carbonaro effect.
The Media implants these thoughts of sorts, controlled by technology we are robots
Looking for a hotspot, wifi, somebody let me in, let me online.
We have gone mad, it’s sad.
Slaves, modern day slaves to tik tok, instagram, Facebook, such crooks robbing us of human interactions.
What’s the attraction?

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
18 years
18 years lived…
18 years gone…
He was 18 years old and he used to say “I’m a change the world”
He was 18 years old and well the world changed him...
18 years of tears later and the world changed me.
Once he was here and now he is gone
He would have been 36
He should have been 36
36 years gone…
When will the tears stop flowing?
When will I start glowing?

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
THE GOOD OLD U.S. OF A
THEY SAY CAN YOU SEE BY THE DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT?
OF COURSE I CAN, I HAVE TO I'M UP GETTING READY FOR WORK.
I GOT BILLS TO PAY SO I CAN HAVE A PLACE TO STAY
THEY SING ABOUT THE ROCKETS RED GLARE AND THE BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR. SWEATHEART I KNOW YOU MUST MEAN THE FIRE ROARING FROM A BUILDING, IF BOMBS ARE FLYING I'M A HIT THE DECK.
I NEED TO LIVE! DADDY DON'T TAKE CARE OF ME LIKE YOU BOURGEOISIE'S.
THEY TELL US IT'S THE HOME OF THE BRAVE AND THE LAND OF THE FREE
WELL I AM BRAVE, BUT I AIN'T FREE, WE AIN'T FREE
WE ARE AS FREE AS THAT TREE RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR
THE GOVERNMENT OWN'S IT, IT'S GANGSTER AND HARD-CORE.
THIS BE OUR MOTTO"IN GOD WE TRUST". D.T.A BABY.
BABY MY TRUST IN GOD AIN'T GONNA STOP A WAR, AIN'T GONNA BUY ME A STORE.
THAT'S RIGHT MY TRUST IN GOD GOT ME CLEANING FLOORS FOR YOU DIRTY WHORES.
PRAISE THE POWER THAT HATH ME AND PRESERVE US A NATION!
PLEASE OKAY ALL THEY DID WAS PRESERVE THE GOVERNMENTS INFATUATION WITH MONEY. I'M SORRY THAT NONSENCE DON'T FLY BY ME HONEY.
"TIS THE GOOD OLD U.S. OF A.

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
It's not that serious, serious.
Seriously, it's not that serious.
Occasionally it's mysterious.
But really, how am I supposed to feel when I never really did heal?

Lisa Pearlman-Mason Poem
You can gossip, you can talk
Having the time of my life
Ooh see that girl, watch her moves
Dig it she’s a gossip queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out to watch where you go
Where they spy and gossip, getting all the info
You come in to look and watch
Anybody could be that nosey
Night is young and the rumor’s high
With a bit of sad music, everything is weird
You're in the mood for a tale
And when you get the chance
You are the gossip queen
Old and beat, not seventeen
Gossip queen, feel the heat
From the flames, oh yeah
You can gossip, you can talk
Having the time of my life
Ooh see that girl, watch her moves
Dig it she’s a gossip queen
You're a deceiver, you turn 'em off
Leave 'em crying and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a tale
And when you get the chance
You are the gossip queen
Old and beat, not seventeen
Gossip queen, feel the heat
From the flames, oh yeah
You can gossip, you can talk
Having the time of my life
Ooh see that girl, watch her moves
Dig it she’s a gossip queen
Dig it she’s a gossip queen
