The Wonders of Nature

Sitting here in the woods, this is what I see
Lush green trees, and thick brown trunks, all surrounding me
I see the flowers, pink and white, colors so pastel
The petals shining in the sun, with leaves as smooth as jell
I see the grass below my feet, a bold hue of green
A tiny squirrel running by, claws so small yet keen
A bright blue sky, above my head, not a cloud in sight
The sun up high, sweet and kind, lending me its light

But wonders can also be revealed by hearing through my ear
Let me tell you some special sounds that nature has to hear
The birds are singing in the trees, further than I can see
The water tapping through the night, a sound so bold and free
I hear the leaves, up in the limbs, moving with the breeze
Resting in their comfy home up in the branches of the trees

Other senses bring treasures too, I'll tell you what I feel
A smooth, free gust of wind, with a calm, relaxing appeal
I feel the dirt under my hands, a soft yet firm touch
There's other textures over here, like itchy grass and such
I hard, firm rock, and the trunk of a green tree
I walk around and I embrace the senses given to me

Value your senses, treasure the wonders that nature provides for you
Listen carefuly, look closely, for wonders are never few
Nature is calming, with treasures unfolding, the wonders, they can heal
The beauty, astounding the plants, freely growing, it almost seems unreal

Rainy Days

Rainy, calming days
And stormy, dark nights
I listen inside my mind
Nothing can interrupt the peace
Yesterday's troubles have been washed away

Dawn will come and take the rain
And will take my worries with it
Yonder troubles soothed by rain
Somber feelings washed away

The One Who Matters Most

Winter's joys are many,
There's lights and sometimes snow
But the greatest joy of all,
Is one not many know
Some may think it's presents
Some may think it's more
But the one that matters all the most
Is the one true God, our Lord
We celebrate his birthday,
On this most special day
He is our great shepherd
He will find us when we're stray
He loves even when we sin
He'll guide us on our path
He gave his one and only son
To save us from evil's wrath

The-Diamond-River

The Diamond River, bright and blue
The Diamond River, bold and true
It shines and glows, like morning dew
Every day, there's something new
Many wonders, never few
It holds a treasure for me and you
A lost little boy, in great rue
Wandered into a forest of bamboo
Stumbled upon something new
A bright, blue river, of great hue
A brand new place of life he grew
A wonderous land no man ever knew
Available only to whose hearts are true

Oh How the World Is Changing

Every morning birds will sing
Something new for you
Every day will come and bring
Something bright and new
Every day the wind will blow
In a different, unique way
All the time, water will flow
It doesn’t plan to stay
The world is always unique
Every moment still
The world is most antique
All the mountains and the hills
Every tree and human being
All the tiny grains of sand
Every bird that you hear tweeting
Every town in every land
See the sun, oh see it shine
See the moon, in the night sky
See the planets, in a line
See the clouds, way up high
Although the Earth is different
Every part of every day
Although it changes with every moment
I’ll be on my way

But how does the world keep going
When there is so much change?
Its excitement is overflowing
It just makes it seem so strange
When a flower grows
It stays a for quite a bit of time
But everybody knows, this true fact
It will someday hit down-time
But when the flower dies
The pollen flies to somewhere far away
Gardeners never begin to cry
For the pollen grows again someday
The next time growing more
With stronger, taller stems
And once that flower hits the floor
It will grow once again.
The World is a place of wonder
It’s the place where we all live
But it also gives off terror
But there’s something else it gives
The world gives us a smile
When we see it every day
There is beauty in every mile
On every road and every pathway
Be like the Earth, and you will find
That you have a better life
The Earth does its job no matter the time
And takes good care of its wildlife
