The Nightmarket

Come to a place
Where the lights stay on
Till the sun breaks through
The moon's blinding glow

Lanterns are floating
Crowds are a flock
As stalls start opening
All the chattering stops

A woman soon appears
In a cloud of smoke
With her wrists covered in gold bangles
And her dancing so slow

Capturing the hearts of the men
And to the women the opposite
As she welcomes everyone
To the grand nightmarket

You could buy a ruby ring
Or spices from distant lands
But it all depends on
How much money is in your hands

Sample a sweet or two
Have your picture painted
Maybe you like fine art
Or are interested in pottery

Buy a dress or a scarf
There are so many too choose
Plenty of styles and all sizes
For everyone to use

Smells waft through the air
As children run about
Scattering like ants from their hill
Or a small frightened mouse

The entertainers are here
With their traveling shows
They have come from far off
With their songs and woes

Flowers hanging from banners
Leaves curled to make goods
Jams canned with love
While ribbon is sold by the foot

The Nightmarket is an experience
That you may choose to have
We open at mightnight
So you may visit without plans

We are waiting for you
All of you newcomers
You will be treated well
As royalty is done

Everyone is welcome
Whether old or young
So take a detour off your path
And come join in the fun

Rain

Beautiful rain
Lovely rain
That spinkles like dew drops
On an early spring day

The sky is darkening
While the wind gently howls
As thunder claps
Followed by swollen clouds

I await by a window
With my fingers on the glass
As the cold temperature
Leaves an imprint on my hand

Missing the warmth
The feeling of a touch
That leaves tingles up my arms
And on my cheeks a gentle flush

The storm is getting windier
As the leaves are blown by force
While my fireplace crackles
And outside people continue their course

The atmosphere is miserable
But in my mind I am safe and warm
While my yearning continues
And my breathing changes form

He shines through my window like the moon
As the night falls dark
While the other is a flower
That blooms gracefully from the start

So different but lovely
An absolute breathtaking sight
To feel loved by both
And no need for a fight

Two chairs in my room
While the table is left spread
For when I have company
Or before I go to bed

Flowers and vines
Twisted together on the walls
With curtains billowing
In the slight breeze from the window

My feet touched the ground
That was covered in tiles
Like the ballroom of a castle
Or cobblestones in piles

My eyes close oh so gently
With longing for an embrace
As I wait for the rain to stop
To cure my silent pain

Nowhere To Go

She donned a lavender dress
With her best shoes to match
Rings on her fingers
And on her shoulders her hair sat

Lips as red as rubies
Eyes pierced with gold
A soft liveliness was there
But showed not as bold

A hat of straw and flowers
With a ribbon tied around
Completed the outfit's look
But the lady
She was down

Staring out the window
And used her feet to tap the floor
Close to tears she was
But what did she long for

Not a carriage made of silver
Nor a Duke or a marque
As painted fingernails tapped the glass
While she counted (One two Three)

The outside was so bright
But her room was in the dark
The curtains slightly opened
Enough to hear a dog bark

Her beauty was not grand
Or at a lower status
It was somewhat in between
But oh why did it matter

Dust clustered the room
And the doors were shut tight
She was a bird trapped in a cage
With no hope of flight

Her voice was raspy and shrewd
And not flattering in any way
Because if she uttered a word
Her fear would start again

Once she had riches
More then she could ever ask for
And then life was ripped away from her
So she stayed silent and cried no more

For here she sits day by day
Like a river with no flow
The lady was all dressed up
But she had nowhere to go

Garden

What flowers are those?
That grow on these vines
That burst flamboyant colors
Like rainbows in the sky

What tree is this?
That grows taller then an oak
With branches for birds
To build nests with hope

What plant is this?
That wraps around in coils
Like a snake capturing prey
While there's venom in the soil

What beast is this?
That roams through the leaves
But when you turn back
There is nothing but a breeze

What noise do I hear?
Is it a howl or tweet
Or the sounds of twigs
Crunching under my feet

Through the garden and flowers
Through the plants and the trees
Following a whimsical path
With no distance in need

The smell of milk and honey
With a touch of suffocated air
Envelopes the paradise
In a bubble of scent

It is neither spring or summer
Nor winter or fall
But a combined temperature
That can please us all

Trapped in a place
That was known to not exist
With pure harmony
Like a flick of the wrist

When Alice was in wonderland
Everything seemed to be strange
But not everyone like her
Was quite as sain

Is this heaven?
Or am I having another dream
That I must wake up from
To get back to reality

But maybe I will stay here
And enjoy my sweet escape
Before my fuzzy mind
Comes back to me again

Should I Have

Should have I done it
Should have I not
That is the question
In my brain it rots

I like to spoil
But yet not you
I wrinkle my nose
And away I peruse

I can see through you
No matter how thick the wall is
But yet people cannot
Seem to figure it out yet

Like a sharp knife
The edges are stiff
And yet it spins so swift
Like an athlete in a race
Where the end is near
But yet so far away

Your beauty may fool
The eyes of the beholder
But yet those petals change to black
And falls in bunches
That cloy the tongue
Of the ones that touch them

Vines

My body tembled in fear
From the vines drawing near
Twisting and coiling around my waist
As sickening flowers bloomed with grace

Messy pollen and poisioned nectar
Cover my arms and legs like a projector
Leaves strewn about in my hair
While strong scents pollute the air

Voices are quickly closing in
Begging and yelling at me to sin
Cold hands and warm touches
Caress my cheeks into soft blushes

Laughs and jeers ring in my head
While chains wrap at the foot of my bed
Vipers and vultures surround me
Squeezing at my whines and pleas

Wings ripped from thorns that bruise my back
As roses fade from white to black
They drag me down to the endless pit
Of misery and doubts to uplift

Woo is my pride as it droops low
As the flower is tangled in a tight embrace
While my eyes are covered, and thoughts
replaced
My fear does not break from these vines
That wipe my tears and push me behind

Fury

Look at what you have done
See what came out of joy
Twisted from pure happiness
To a state of somewhat coy

Smiles lasts for awhile
Then quickly turns to tears
With slight mental breakdowns
Followed by mental fears

Scenarios of the future
Attempted to push away
With fueled up visions
Of nightmares stuck on play

Curled up in blankets
Or stretched out in a tub
Hiding runny noses and sniffs
As my feet gently rub

Shaking fingers while typing
Running low on normal state
Functioning gears stopped turning
And all that is left is a headache

Sleepless nights
Along with worried thoughts
Of something happening
When I was not up

While choking back words
A lump forms in my throat
Since I do not want to bother
The people who care for me the most

Take a look at this picture
Full of fury from each twist
My heart was slightly broken
But still slowly being fixed

Will I change my ways?
You think that I would
The same way you met me
Sticks to me like glue to wood

Fallen

Let it burn
Up into ashes
Let the embers
Converse together
As they swirl around
In a semi-circle
I stand
In the midst of the chaos

Black skies
Gray clouds
The sound of a wolf's howl
The scent of desperation
As it builds up like a brick wall

Warm colors turn to darkness
Fresh air turns to smoke
The blooming flowers die quickly
When your presence is known

The beauty I once found
Was a broken mirrored crown
That cracked its jewels
And brought misery all around
