Shreya Singh Poem
I felt defeated and drained out
For the thing, l never thought
I was left all alone
To recover the things that were gone
That storm was more destructive than I ever think
Took all my hopes in one blink
My dreams broke
All in one stroke
I found myself lost in the middle track
Something hitting from the back
I was in depths of despair
Thinking about how could I repair
After those hard days
I am stronger in many ways
I will not let my tears go in vain
And will end up all my pain
I have nothing more to lose
All to get in use
I will get my dreams once more
Even if I have to break the mountain before...

Shreya Singh Poem
There was never ‘us.’
It was just me and the possibility I saw with my closed eyes
Our forever never started, and it will never
And I know that to my core
We were like the parallel lines,
Or like the magnets turned the wrong way,
Or like birds in different cages.
We were close, perhaps even aligned.
But never and ever destined to be absolute
I am terrified by the absence of a nonexistent us
And how, how come I am grieving ‘us’?
How could I lock the door that never opened?
How does it still mean to me? How do you still mean to me?

Shreya Singh Poem
A sorrowful smile, a betraying teardrop from my eyes
I write this poem for the testament of time
Cries turning into hollow smiles
Unconsciously sinking to the wells of crime
My past gazing at me warily
Bloodred lips now chapped and dead
Dragging me to that same court of dread
Pouring out another poisonous wine
Draining out the fragile life of mine
I pay the price for it every day and night
Devoured quietly in silent fright
