The Bad

Why would you choose to have so many worries?
Why would you choose to have so many woes?
Why would you choose to get carried away by them?
In the end they could be friends not foes

You see, all these things that happened to you today
They all teach you something
And the lessons wont easily fade away
You could be worried about the tough
But listen, interestingly enough,

If you only think about the bad
Then the bad is all you will see

So please my friend, just listen to me
Think about what you learnt from the bad
And instead of regret you will see
That if it hadn't happened
Than to a certain degree
The person you are right now, you wouldn't be.

And in the future
When you think back to the past
And all you remember is the bad,

Maybe then it will cross your mind
That that weird poem you once read, might have been right.

And It All Fell Apart

The room that surrounds me
It gradually turns to gray
The face I had been so fond of
It slowly fades away

My bruises are hidden by my deepest fears
My eyes are covered to hide the tears

You turn to me
And you slowly say,
'I'm sorry,
but today its
your last day'.

Nobody Would Ever Know

Walking into that crouded room.
They stopped what they were doing.

Thinking they knew what was crossing her mind
Drawing conclusions
Sharing opinions
Meeting their eyes

She didn't seem to care,
Even though she knew she was on everyones mind
Even though they didnt seem to stop their stares

She knew that once she left,
The stories would fade
She knew that once she left,
Nobody would ever know

Nobody would ever know what happened
And where it went.

And even if they did
Nobody would ever know why
Nobody would ever care.
But they still wouldn't stop their painful stares.

First Love

He spoke to me in a loving way,
I wanted to reply, yet not a word I could say
Blinding me like a bright summers light,
His eyes met mine, I knew I was up for the fight.

My palms were sweating,
My face felt hot,
My heart was racing,
These feeling were like a battle,
	              A battle I hadn't yet fought.

To me,
He was the most beautiful song that I'd ever heard
Yet in the lyrics I didn't know a word.

He'd brightened the room, making me see
That all I wanted was him and me...

Understand Me

I know you wish I could
Start cleaning up my own mess
In this room full of worries,
This room full of stress

I know you wish I could
Just take a broom, sweep it all away
Out of sight,
Out of the light of day

But what I have here you see
It isn't like a dirty shirt
That can be cleaned easily
This thing that I'm trying to hide
Its like a scar,
Its like something I can't fight.

So all I'm asking right now
Is for you to see
That all I need from you
Is for you to understand me

I'Ll Be There

I will be there for you
Through the storm
And I will still be there
When the weather is warm

Through all the worries and pain
And even when you drive me insane
I will be there for you like a drain
To wash away all the rain

And when you're done needing me
I'll be there to set you free.
