New Dance

Getting along together
Dancing that same old dance
But you’ve forgotten the steps
So now what
Is this my new lot
You have changed
And I changed to be content
with you
Working the dynamic
Keeping up the merriment
Breaking in the fantasy
Fostering a brand spanking new way to play
Becoming rather tame
In this complicated adjustment
Game
And finally I was coming
Into my own
Catching the big wave
But you changed
Now what
Me
I learn the new steps
I swirl and I sway
I dance a new dance
And I trip the light fantastic
That’s what.

Release Me

Release me
Give me that touch
The one I need so much

Apply a little pressure
But not a lot
And don’t stop

For I am tangled
Strangled right up in a knot
Hard as a rock
Release me from this spiralling, spinning spatial awareness
Of never ending twisted taught ness
And tightness and
Terrible wrongness

Give me that touch
Don't make it too light
alright...

Golds of To Sun

Immerse yourself for
Some day how you feel
Will be the sum of how lived.

Those existential experiences
Now melted into one
In that one present moment.

As you stand and gaze at the golds of the sun
Noticing the reflections
Every nuance of colour
Bathing in the serenity
That never fails to come.

For most certainly this will be the sum
Of gazing long
at the
golds of the
 sun.

News Storm

News storm.

Have you heard the news?
For you will hear
that our Lives are in chaos
throwing us into a
spinning spiral of ever growing hysteria.
The headlines are shouting like larks in the morning.
Bleating their warning.
Spewing out their vomit.
Of fear and panic.
The virus is coming.
Thine eyes see,
thine ears hear
the agitated,
animated urgent reports pouring out at ever increasing speed.
But
Ears are deaf to the dying, the silent screams, grasping for breath,
Words never uttered,
as we cook up the dinner.
Pour a glass of wine.
Raise a beer to our lips
Death has always been waiting,
along
with the washing up,
and the vacuuming,
Let’s fit that new kitchen, get that new sofa,
buy that new car.
whilst the world is burning.
The markets are turning
Buy new, buy now, must have,
Have it now.
No
not on your nelly
 Me,
myself,
Living this life
I am planting new seeds
Composting those weeds.
Creating art of a form
in this
News storm.

Forever Young

As I cling on to hope
With all my being.
Refusing to believe
this inevitable inconvenience.

For what gain does it serve me
To recognise this pain
Becoming weak
While it’s solace I earnestly seek

I know another way!
I declare
What is this way?
 you say

I will not look with mine eyes.
Or speak with this tongue.
As I determine
 to stay forever young.

Less

Less

I dressed to impress
But I felt less
You see I attracted
The senseless
Who thought I
 was
Worthless
My wardrobe was endless
But they were
merciless
So
regardless
I threw it all away.
Including their
opinions

And became priceless
Cloth-less
Naked

Good Time Lyrics

We had a good time
But Now
I realise
Your somebody else's lover

And you were the one
Who made me feel so good
What Am I supposed To do?

I met you asking for directions
Oh what a night
We rode around
With the top down

Blasting out tunes
I took you to places you had never been before
We partied until it was light
We even broke up another
Lovers fight

Oh what a night
You served me dinner on a tray with a napkin on your arm.
My,
you had so much charm
You wrote me a letter
Saying I am the one

Then I find out your somebody’s else’s lover
You made me feel so good
What am I supposed to do?

I write a letter right back to you
Saying
Enough is enough!
I can’t go on
Cause You better give it all you got
you never know what you got
until it’s gone

I cannot be your part time lover
Thanks for the compliment
But just love your wife
Like no other

Listen baby
You keep ya fire burning
Get back to loving her.
Forget about us.
Put our love aside
You can work it out.

Farewell
My fond temporary moment
It was fun

Farewell

Dreams and Thoughts

??Dreams and Thoughts

Shift that dial
Time
Is a no mans land
An existential drift
Are you the dream?
Or are you the dreamer?
These Thoughts
Inside your head
Up down and upside down
Streaming
Screaming
Whispering
Deftly walking on quicksand
As you observe
Half truths and no truth
Feeding your thought
Thought feeding your mind
Cascading like a matrix
downloading
Informing, cross referencing
Incessant
In that funk
It’s all just junk
Those thoughts
Let them go
Let it all go!

Drift away
Do it today
Follow your heart
It’s time for you to decide
Are you the dreamer?
Or are you the dream?

For those thoughts are not me
They are not you
Just information overload
And
It’s gonna explode!
Take cover
Your heart
Quintessentially true.
That is you.
Beautiful and free
No words are needed
No thoughts heeded
It’s within or
Without and for all to see
For you are you and I am me
and we are
one.
So
Are you the dream?

Or
Are you the dreamer?

Dreaming this dream?

Get in that flow
just
let it all go!
