Memories of Tuscany

I can’t help but think about
The way things used to be
Those carefree days of childhood
By the river of Tuscany

Children caressed
By the island’s sun
Frenzied by its crystal shore
Totally unaware
Of the danger that was before

The storm came suddenly
The merry bunch dispatch
All but Johnny
Who was submerged
By the hungry waves of Tuscany.

The Sweetest Thing

Its funny how every time you pass my way
I’m tempted to run my fingers along the contour of your body
Your flaming rod ignites my core stroke after stroke- it’s the epitome of addiction
It’s like I’m injected with ecstasy every time our bodies and spirit unite
You melt my barriers
The transition from earth to heaven is blissful
My nipples stand at attention whenever your honey comb lips salute them
The sweetness lingers on
My my my, what more can I say
My sultry articulation you must pardon
But you see………….you are The Sweetest Thing

The passion, tenderness and affection you exude would make cupid jealous
And when you smile
It’s like the whole world stands still
Well, at least my world
It radiates through the fiber of my being
And makes me feel like the sun, moon and stars shine only for me

Maybe I’m deluding myself
But if you’re just a dream
It’s one that I’m going to indulge in
And when I’m awake
I’ll reminisce every magical moment
I will say, it was good while it lasted
But for now
I’m going to dream on.

This one is dedicated to you.

Nature Dishonored

Have you ever been mesmerized
By the setting sun
Only to question what it’ll be like
If the sun refuses to set in the west

The rivers sometimes run and trickle
Down the slippery rocks of Dunns River Falls
Captivating visitors from near and far
One can’t help but wonder
How it will be
Should the rivers one day refuse
To run to the sea

Easter comes but once a year
And so does Christmas too
But should the clouds withhold their blessings
And bring forth rain just once
Would we take time to appreciate
Our beautiful beaches and lakes?

I was once hypnotized by the rainbow
Then later reminisced about its multi colored rays?
Just then I wondered
Should the rainbow desire a make makeover,
What would become of the violet, yellow and green?

With all these
We have been endowed
Yet we show no regard for their splendor
I would prefer a life rather mundane
Than to see nature return
The ill-favor we’ve shown.

Remains of the Past

I have always searched for answers
To the many how, when and why
Despite my obvious struggle
To solve this obscure puzzle
All the history of my fore fathers
Are still concealed from my eyes
Where do I go from here?
If I cannot find that clue
Should I end this journey bare?
	Or must I begin anew
How do I start, when and where
I need to know, the story of their past
In order to grow and find myself at last.
